issue119,谢谢

望指正,如果可以的话,帮我估计一下分数好吗?谢谢!
119. When research priorities are being set for science, education, or any other area, the most important question to consider is: How many people's lives will be improves if the results are successful?

In this technologically advanced era, much emphasis is put on researches in science, education or other area. And there are millions of researches in the world, therefore, there comes an increasingly hot debate on how the research priorities should be set? The speaker's recommendation is that the most important question to consider is the benefit people may gain from the results of the researches. However, in my opinion, giving the beneficial researches the priorities is infeasible and unnecessary, and it would even do more harm than good to both to the society and the researching fields. All the researches should be given equal priorities.

First of all, if we strictly follow the speaker's suggestion, who would decide which areas of research are more worthwhile than others? Researchers cannot be left to decide. Given a choice, they will pursue their own special areas of interest, and most of them tend to think that what themselves researches on are certainly the most useful and significant. Therefore, it is highly unlikely that all researchers could reach a fully consensus as to what areas are most likely to help the most people. Nor can this decision be left to legislators and regulators. Lacking the professional knowledge and recognition of the researches in question, the regulators or legislators are likely to make totally wrong prediction of how the results and their impacts would be, hence their decisions would be absurd or fantastic, which may hinder not only the progress of the researching fields but also the improvement of people's lives. Similarly, the decision made by the citizens may also be worthless. In short, it is a tricky problem to ascertain which areas should be the most significant and worthwhile ones.

Secondly, it is difficult to predict which research avenues will ultimately lead to the greatest contributions to society. Many of the research results may have little practical significance, but they may turn out to be the greatest discovery in years or decades. A telling example involves Newton's classical dynamics. In the time when this theory came into being, people just regarded it to be a great talent's achievement, which seemed to be useless in one's daily life. However, nowadays, astronomer’s designs of satellites and rockets are based on this great theory. When roentgen ray was firstly discovered no one, the discoverer himself include, would imagine that this magical ray could be used in diagnosis. Therefore, because of the unpredictable influence the research result may put on the human being, to give priorities only to those researches having immediate benefits would be unadvisable.

However, it should be admitted that the result of researches should be harmless to the society and people. The ultimate aim of any researches in all the fields should be sever human being, which should be regarded to be the guidance of all the researches. Although it may be difficult to determine the effect of the research result, the researchers should stop the research immediately when the discovery the result would be no good for the world. And the government should legislate to prohibit any harmful researches, which may threaten the peace, security and health of people in the world. For example, the researches on biochemical and nuclear weapon are totally forbidden by most countries.

To sum up, it is unlikely and unadvisable to set priorities only for these researches whose results would be useful and significant, for it is difficult not only to find arbiters to make decision, but also for they to predict the effect in advance. All the researches, which is harmless to the people and society, should be give equal opportunities to gain the priorities.

(这两句感觉连贯性不够强,而且很生硬)The speaker's recommendation is that the most important question to consider is the benefit people may gain from the results of the researches. However, in my opinion, giving the beneficial researches the priorities is infeasible and unnecessary, and it would even do more harm than good to both to(去掉这个to) the society and the researching fields. All the researches should be given equal priorities.(researches本身就是一个负数名词吧?如果没有几错的话 )

Therefore, it is highly unlikely that all researchers could reach a fully consensus as to what areas are most likely to help the most people.(这句语法错误) Nor can this decision be left to legislators and regulators. In short, it is a tricky problem to ascertain which areas should be the most significant and worthwhile ones.(老是用researching 很单调,换换其他的词)看着看着觉得很面熟,好象是老外280里的,或者在哪里见过.这样不好哦,一定要有自己的看法,而且会引起懒惰的.我建议,就当成是中文写,想到什么就写什么,再润色

(两个例子之间最好有点过度,而且牛顿这个例子优点牵强,可以举些理论性的例子更充分地说明这个分论点)When roentgen ray was firstly discovered no one, the discoverer himself include, would imagine that this magical ray could be used in diagnosis. Therefore, because of the unpredictable influence the research result may put on the human being, to give priorities only to those researches having immediate benefits would be unadvisable.

However, it should be admitted that the result of researches should be harmless to the society and people. The ultimate aim of any researches in all the fields should be sever(笔误) human being, which should be regarded to be the guidance of all the researches(研究和研究人员没写对,上面也有类似错误). Although it may be difficult to determine the effect of the research result, the researchers should stop the research immediately when the discovery the result would be no good for the world. (这个转折有点怪,你想表达什么呢?)And the government should legislate to prohibit any harmful researches, which may threaten the peace, security and health of people in the world. For example, the researches on biochemical and nuclear weapon are totally forbidden by most countries.(这个狸子太简短了吧,刚开始就结束了,作为一段,例子应该充分一些才饱满)

To sum up, it is unlikely and unadvisable to set priorities only for these researches whose results would be useful and significant, for it is difficult not only to find arbiters to make decision, but also for they to predict the effect in advance. All the researches, which is harmless to the people and society, should be give equal opportunities to gain the priorities
总的来说,模仿的痕迹挺重的,不过挺结构清晰,不错,加上自己的观点会更好.

请帮忙看一下是否出现危险的偏题现象

119"When research priorities are being set for science, education, or any other area, the most important question to consider is: How many people's lives will be improved if the results are successful?" (是否有偏题???)

Whether the purpose of research of science and education is how many people benefit form the results? The speaker claims that the ultimate goal of study is to satisfy the need of human beings. I concede that any scientific or education undertaking is to facilitate people's life, however, it is necessary for us to make a balance between applied research and long-term research and other function.

Undoubtedly, the research of science and education is to improve ability of human and make a convenient life. Any researchers have the responsibility to the society of the work, after all, the public provide enough fund and resource to them .In the level of natural science, such as physics, chemistry and biology, the specialists devote to new inventions and discoveries which can change the situation of the society. For example, the technology-transportation, television and computer, which promote the world into a century of automation. Apparently, such value of inventions is expressed in the satisfaction of human beings rather than other aspects. In the level of education, specialists pay more attention to the instruction of teaching and the social effect, which can help students to be qualified citizens. Obviously, the aim of education is not only improving the intelligence, but also prepare for their future life in the society. Thus, researches are usually considered about the application to the public. The more people it satisfied, the more success it is.

However, overemphasize the importance of the applied research would lead to unexpected results, which might have terrible effect on people, but also next generations. Considering the abuse of resource and the advanced technology, the society confronts with serious problems what result from the research of the satisfaction. Here is an example, the aggravation of environment all over world-thin ozone, greenhouse and waste, which come from the use of applied research-transport and industry. Faced with such problems, the government should organize research in different field to solve the immediate problems what might make no difference to recent people, but it can benefit the future ones which people call-lasting develop grogram.

Moreover, if the research is only limited in the purpose of satisfaction, the study would make no breakthroughs for the narrow thoughts. After all, no one can make sure about the result of research in the future. For example, Einstein’s relativism. From its publication and recognition, how many people’s lives have been improved on earth? The answer is vague. People know the theory, but cannot gain the benefit directly. When people evaluate such theory, it is impossible to rely on the improvement of the human beings’ life, because it does not affect the living condition, but change the perspective of human eventually.

In sum, research of scientific and education can improve people efficiently which should be one purpose of study, but it is necessary to realize the importance of theoretical research, which improve the human thoughts and ability. Also, the recent benefit cannot deprive the interest of the next generation, or the world would degrade and even disappear.
