Ph.D. Positions in Pharmaceutical Sciences (University of Missouri-Kansas City)
Two Ph.D. positions in Pharmaceutical Sciences with research assistantship are available in Professor Kun Cheng’s laboratory in School of Pharmacy, University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC). The Kansas City metropolitan area is a 15-county metropolitan area with 2.3 million people, and its suburb Overland Park was named No 1 in the US for “Top 10 Best Cities for Families” in 2015.Dr. Cheng’s research focuses on the development of novel drug delivery systems for various therapeutic agents including chemotherapy drugs, proteins, peptides, siRNAs, and CRISPR-Cas9. He is also working on novel checkpoint inhibitors and BBB drug delivery. His research is currently supported by three National Institutes of Health (NIH) R01 grants and one American Cancer Society (ACS) research grant. These positions are available for Spring 2019 and Fall 2019. We encourage highly motivated candidates in drug delivery, molecular biology, medicinal chemistry, or polymer chemistry to apply. Candidates with strong research experience are preferred.
