Is it true that the beginner is more likely than the expert to make important discoveries, as the speaker claims? I fundamentally concede that the novice surpasses the expert to some extent of imagination, creativity and the bravery of challenging the existing theories and ideas, nevertheless, without the proficiency and experience of experts and their guidance, novices cannot achieve   great accomplishment. Thus, in my point of view, only the cooperation between them could both benefit their fields of inquiry and make an advancement of their researches.

Apparently, unlike the experts, the neophytes are more willing to suspect and challenge the accepted theories and principles as possible as they can. Although they may feel unfamiliar or even strange with the new realm of study, they do their best to contempt to question about the authorial experts. Even though they may act recklessly and aimlessly, they still rack their brains to think about the new things and eagerly to put their assumptions into appliance. We should acknowledge that, without their courage to doubt the old or maybe out-fashion theories, some field of study cannot be advanced as it likes nowadays. Consider the theory of relativity which was made by the greatest physical scientist Albert Einstein when he was young, it began as a challenge of the typical physics theories of Newton, suffering from innumerable jeers and misunderstanding, however, it was accepted by all scientists around the world in the modern era and its reliability has been proved by the descendants.

Otherwise, as neophytes, people who involve in a traditional area of inquiry may bring about fresh blood and collide with wit sparks concerning they are not limited in the current principles and theories. Comparing with the novices, the experts prefer doing their researches in the scales of acceptance of older and seemingly authorial viewpoints and applying the results of the study to the practice more prudently- in other words, they are more likely to do their studies in a well-designed method even though without the creativity. In contrast, neophytes would not behavior as the same as the experts do and on the contrary, they are more creative and fantastic, they desire the success of the new and novel theories and eagerly put them into practice regardless of the probably punishment of the consequence. Nonetheless, their creativity would be substantiated in the unforeseeable future as a surprise to them and thus become an impetus for them to go on studying.  As we known, the famous economist-John Nash, who successfully apply the theories of mathematics into the demonstration of certain economic phenomena, won the Nobel Prize by his first illustration of the non-cooperation game theory in his bachelor thesis. Therefore, without the imagination and creativity, we cannot expect a breakthrough of our current fields of inquiry.

Admittedly, based on the enrichment of numerous of knowledge and experience, the experts are more familiar with the realm of study than the novices. In my observation, none of the great new accomplishment can be achieved with little understanding of the especial field. When we look into the laureates of the Nobel Prize in the recent years, we will find that all of them has advocated in their field of researches within a comparatively long years. Obviously, the brand new breakthrough at time, even necessarily relies on the accumulation of experience and knowledge during several decades. Due to the cautious consideration, the experts would attain their goals no matter in the theories or the practices.

Therefore, the best approach for the advancement in one field of inquiry is the cooperation between the neophytes and the experts. The former excels in their imagination, creativity and the courage of suspecting and challenging the accepted and probably outdate theories and principles, otherwise, the latter seems to be more experienced, effectively proficient and cautious in establishing their theories and applying them into practice. As a consequence, with the guidance of the experts, the novices can functions as effectively as they could, and the professionals can escape from some trivial routines and devote more time to the optimal researches which based on a high start-point. Both of them could benefit from the collaboration and both of them could make a progress of the field of study.

To sum up, as discussed above, I concede the speaker's allegation insofar as the neophytes have the very creativity and courage in the field of inquiry; nevertheless, the speaker overstates the significance of the neophytes' creativity and courage while overlooks the affluent knowledge and experience of experts that conduct them to the correct orientation. Therefore, the cooperation between them could bring about a breakthrough to the unique field of inquiry in the foreseeable future.
