Need-Blind vs Need-Based
今天中午问ddyy区别，没搞清，自己开拓啦Need-Blind代表录取时不考虑申请人的家庭经济状况，根本不是你要多少钱都给你，这里强调的是Blind，而不是Need。而Need-Based是相对Merit-Based而言的，前者根据家庭经济状况考虑最后助学金的多少，后者是根据被录取者本身的学术，思想品质，发展潜力等实力因素来决定最后奖学金的多少。

我感觉Need-Blind对穷学生比较有利，因为在录取的时候主要考虑的是申请人的个人实力而不是你家的经济状况，所以大家都是在同一个起点，录不录就看自己本事了。能拿多少奖学金就看你有多少能力了，就好像是挣工资。
而need-based好像本着“我一旦录取你，你就不会因为没钱而上不了学。”的原则进行录取，在录取过程中要考虑到申请人的经济实力，也就是说你家越有钱你被录取的可能就越大，相反，如果没钱的话就会变成硬伤，在竞争中处于不利。但是，一旦你被录取的话你就有能力去负担费用了。
而need-blind可能在最后不能提供给你足够的钱。

这才叫人人平等阿，就向国内高考，只看分，其他什么也不看，也蛮公平的，起码钱不是问题
;P 正如云霎说的,NEED-BLIND+NEED-BASED才是极品 Anyway, if we just consider the financial factors, money is 极品. 偶有一天厚着脸皮问了一堆LAC是不是need-blind，都回答说不是。
有些说是need-blind也只是针对us citizens&PR 对国际学生NEED-BLIND的LAC就WILLIAMS和MIDDLEBURY吧
