Our world presently is experiencing a rapidly change in every aspect of people’s mind, economic situation and social structure. This tendency requires people’s reaction much quicker than before they did. Therefore, speak well is undoubted to be of vital importance. The first and foremost reason I commit to the notion is that speaking well can impress others deeply and that is essential in contemporary world. Take hunting job as an example. The youth nowadays may not do a job for their entire life, they may change job frequently. As a result, every time when they try to find a job in a company or government, they have to answer the boss’s question face to face. Obviously, this step can not be done by writing. If someone is good at speaking, he/she may leave a deep impression to the boss and win a better chance to work, which is impossible for those people who are good at writing. Therefore, from this angle, to speak well is more important than to write well.

Another reason I think to speak well is more important is that it is a better way to communicate with others compared with writing. Needless to say, we must communicate with different people in our daily life and in the harness in today’s world because we have to contact more persons than in the past decades we did. And the technology is developed and advanced, which allows to us talk to anyone wherever they are. To make the communication goes well, we must focus on our skills of speaking. It is easy to imagine that whether a person prefer talking something to others directly by phone or write to the people and wait the reply in another several days.
