In the lecture, the professor states that peers groups will cultivate competition rather than cooperation by describing an experiment particularly. The professor of the lecture tells the experiment in three steps. The first is to divide 22 nomal eleven years old boys into two group averagely, immediately the two parts called each own group different names, and some competitions also existed in many activies. During the second step, the contact becomes seriously, each group’s negative attitude is clearly and sometimes they “insult”. Then during the third step, they put back together again, the two group fixed goals and completed it together, at the end of the third step, the concept of group disappear and they become together. Contracdicting what is stated in the reading that peer groups will create tease and tolerate each other without the intervention of adults.

Finally the lecturer draw a conclusion that peer groups will bring competition and even conflict rather than friendship and cooperation which are claimed in the reading passage. Therefore the contents in the reading passage are totally jeopardized by the speaker and the speaker has totally different ideas on the topics made in the reading.

Well, I don’t think students should have a year break before they attend college. Since they  finish their study in senior high school, they have cultivated good and diligent studying habbit and owned the basic knoledge. If they stop study at this time, they will become inferior after a year break, for those young students will taste many things to get themselves relaxed without the school’s supervising, even some students will seek their fortune and finally begin to work instead of returning to campus, that will be a great loss to both the students and the whole society.[这句好长，不过说的时候，注意断句，应该没问题的。呵呵]
