Hi,
I have finished my undergraduate in University of Toronto specialized in Biological Chemistry.
and I have already received full scholarship from Cambridge university for phD studies.
I am coming back to China in late July, to apply for the visa.
For my situation, could anyone please tell me do I still have to prepare all those "asset proofs"?
i.e.
1. If I have received full scholarship, do my parents still need to prove all their income and stuffs?

2. Do they have interviews?  Because at first I thought I will land in Beijing, go to the ambassy in person to drop off the applicatino package, then go back to my hometown.  Should I wait in Beijing for interview then? NOrmally how long it will take for them to decide if they needed to interview me?

you don't need to provide any other asset document as long as you got full scholarship - just bring the scholarship confirmation letter or sth that proves it.

visa interview is not required nowadays, unless under special circumstances. all the materials should be delivered to a "visa centre" that is close to your hometown, and the centre will post them to Beijing for processing.

Prepare to wait for up to 15 working days for your documents tobe processed.

If I am going to go to Beijing myself, I can just deiver the materials in person right?
My parents got rejected for coming to Canada for joining my graduation convocation, therefore I am also getting a bit afraid that UK visa will be rejected.  Do they actually check family record or what? (Since Canada is British colony)

yes you can deliver your documents to the visa centre in BJ, then go home and wait for it being posted to you.

if i remember correctly, you will need to indicate from which country you have been rejected entry - so you do have to tell them that your canadian visa applcation was not successful (i mean for your parents). however, i don't think it affects UK visa very much - I was rejected of US visa for 4 times, but I had no problem getting a UK visa.

is that true?
