大家好，我收到了谢大的学费减免证明，准备去签证，但是看到有一些全奖的博士由于奖学金的renewable被拒签了，或者只给了1年考察期的签证，现在很担心，麻烦大家帮忙看一下，我的学费减免证明是不是这种情况，虽然老师在邮件中提到过是减免了3年的学费，但是正式的文件中没有提及时间，怕VO们怀疑！下面是正式文件的内容：
Mr.**has been accepted to begin an Mphil/phd program in ****department, starting his research project in Augest 2008,under the supervision of Dr.******.He will initially register for the Mphil degree, and will be re-registered for PhD if this is recommended by an upgrounding panel after 9 to 12 months. This is our normal system at sheffield.

He has been awarded a complete remission of the overseas component of his tuition fees, in the form of a University Fees Bursary which has to be taken up in the financial year 2007-2008. The reminder of his tuition fee, the "Home/Eu" component, will be paid from discretionary funds held by my research group.

另外还得到了国家CSC四年的生活费奖学金。 我的offer上写的Normal registration period for fee paying purpose: 3 years.而老师在邮件中说一般需要3.5年才能完成Phd。

请大家指点 我在申请签证是应该申请几年的啊？大家觉得这份学费减免证明可以吗？会不会被看做renewable的？ 预约了下周的签证，时间很紧了，请大家指点啊 谢谢谢谢

一般博士签证给3.5年，如果签证时间小于这个时间的话，你到了英国以后可以申请visa correction schem， 免费更改你的签证时间。

你这种情况一般是先给一年签证，然后续签。如果运气好的话，也许能拿到四年签证。
