Financial statement, use bank statement (3 months), if you have a sponsor, just have her/his anual salary statement, status documents copy, letter of supporting.
Cover letter, before it is important, now since you have to change to F1 if you want a degree, then just show that you are interested in this area, and you will go back to china. Try to be convincing. Remember, you should say that this application is for changing F2 to F1 first. Try to be explicit.
others like courses descriptions (highlight the courses you registered that term,usually found at department hompage), credits report(to prove that you are a full time student), receipt of tuition fee payment.
of course your own status documents and your husband's, try to have every thing ready.
A list for everything that you have included in your application package and note that which one is original or not.
one more thing, when you fill the forms, use blue pen to differentiate the original from copy.
