Dont want to sound like as ass. And this is nothing personal.
But seriously, an oversimplified disclaimer "part of the reason" does not justify a flawed argument.
The fact that you cannot land a job outside the university with a philosophy or some bull liberal arts degree is seriously not a reason why university degree is growing useless.
The economy is shitty and even my grandma has a bechalor degree. Universities are expanding and any living creature can graduate with a degree.
The issue lies in the fact that the same engineer degree does not worth as much as it was 20 years ago. The fact that the nature of a liberal art degree has not changed and you can still land a job in a telephone company with the same liberal art degree is sufficient to say that the devaluation of univeristy degrees is not a result of those useless courses they offer.
You can go a law school to become a lawyer and still find your job prospects blue.
