【课程介绍】

社会政策文学硕士课程（一年全日制）

- 课程旨在增强学生对于当前社会政策的研究、制定、执行与评估能力，以及培育具批判能力的社会政策分析专业人员。

社会工作硕士课程（一年全日制/两年兼读制）

- 课程旨在装备学生知识及技巧，发展有关社会工作或社会服务的创新项目。课程提供全面的理论基础训练，让学生掌握日益普遍的创新实践，以应对本地及全球的挑战和社会议题。(注: 学生毕业后不可获取香港注册社工资格。)

社会服务管理文学硕士课程（一年全日制）

- 课程让学生深入认识不同的管理理论，掌握相关的实务知识，使他们能在瞬息万变的机构实况和服务环境中发挥高效率组织管理能力。课程以实务为主，介绍不同规划工具，以及人事管理、财务策划、程序评估、资讯科技应用等知识。

社会工作社会科学硕士课程 （两年全日制/ 三年兼读制）

- 这是一个专业社工培训课程。课程提供全面的社会工作理论、实务知识和技巧训练，包括900小时实习指导。学生毕业后可获取香港注册社工资格。

家庭辅导及家庭教育文学硕士课程 （两年兼读制）

- 课程旨在增强社工、辅导、教育及医疗等工作者、以及对相关范畴有兴趣的专业人士在家庭实务及亲职教育上的理论基础和专业知识，以及提升他们介入的技巧。

社会福利哲学硕士博士衔接课程（全日制/ 兼读制）

- 课程属于研究式课程，获录取的全日制硕士/博士研究生可获研究生助学金。

奖学金

v 各授课式课程均设有「入学奖学金」。同时，在课程中表现突出的同学，亦可获发「杰出学业奖」。

v 修读「社会福利哲学硕士博士衔接课程」的全日制学生，可获发「研究生助学金」，金额约为每月港币$17,330(取得博士学位候选人资格前)/$17,810(取得博士学位候选人资格后)。

Tuition Fee

The tuition fee for 2020-21 is to be confirmed. For reference, the tuition fees for 2019-20 are as follows:

• Full-time (MPhil/ PhD Streams): HK42,100 per annum (non-local students); waived (local students)
• Part-time (MPhil Stream): HK42,100 per annum
• Part-time (PhD Stream): HK42,100 per annum
  

Scholarship and Financial Aid

• Postgraduate Studentship
  Postgraduate Studentship (PGS) is a form of award and financial assistance provided to all full-time students of MPhil-PhD in Social Welfare who are within the normative study period. Applicants need not make a separate application for obtaining the PGS award.
  
  Students awarded PGS will receive stipends in return for assisting in the teaching and research work of the Graduate Division. The monthly stipends in 2020-21 are not yet announced. For reference, the monthly stipends in 2019-20 are HK$17,330 for MPhil and PhD Pre-Candidacy students and HK$17,810 for PhD Post-Candidacy students. While in receipt of the PGS award, students must not undertake other engagement or employment, full-time or part-time, unless with permission of the University.
  
  
• Government Grant and Loan
  Registered full-time students of MPhil-PhD in Social Welfare who satisfy conditions may apply for grants and loans under the "Tertiary Student Finance Scheme - Publicly-Funded Programmes (TSFS)" administered by the Student Financial Office Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (SFO) of the Hong Kong Government. • University Bursary and Loan
  A number of bursaries and loans are available for full-time financially needy MPhil/ PhD students who are Hong Kong permanent residents. For details, please visit here.
  
  
• Scholarship and Award
  The University also administers a number of scholarships and prizes, which are awarded on the basis of academic performance or other non-academic achievements. For details, please visit here.
  

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme

PhD applicants with outstanding qualities of academic performance, research ability / potential, communication and interpersonal skills, and leadership abilities are welcome to apply for the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme.

The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme, established by the Hong Kong Research Grants Council in 2009, aims at attracting the best and brightest students from all over the world to pursue their PhD studies in Hong Kong. The Fellowship provides a monthly stipend of HK$25,800 and a conference travel allowance of HK$12,900 per year during their normative study period. Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme awardees admitted in 2019-20 and thereafter will also receive "The CUHK Vice-Chancellor HKPFS Scholarship", which includes tuition fee waiver for their whole normative study period and an award of HK$20,000 (approx. US$2,564) for lodging in the first year of study. Meanwhile, CUHK guarantees on-campus accommodation during the normative study period to HKPFS awardees who submit timely applications. The on-campus hostel fee will be waived in the first year of study. The application deadline is 2 December 2019, at 12:00 noon (Hong Kong time).

Applicants applying for admission to full-time PhD programmes of the Chinese University of Hong Kong through the Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme are required to comply with the admission requirements of the Graduate School. Applicants who are not selected for the Fellowship Scheme will be considered as normal application and if admitted, will be offered a regular postgraduate studentship stipulated by the University during their normative period of studies.
