Do you agree or disagree, playing sports teaches people more lessons about the life?
In this rapidly developing society, people's life style tends to be faster. They may have less time to spend on playing sports, thus an increasing number of people begin paying no attention to sports. Do sports really important to us? Obviously, the answer is yes. According to my own experience and background, playing sports does teach our more lessons about the life. Specifically speaking, playing sports does benefit us far beyond imagination. The following points will strengthen my perspective.
To the begin with, playing sports training our quality. On the surface, playing sports could keep fit, but it does not conceal the real benefit that playing sports makes us to develop some virtues in the spiritual level, just like endurance, perseverance and teamwork spirit. Life abounds perfect example. Let me take myself as a suitable instance. My favorite sport is basketball, a kind of sports which makes up of five persons in a team. It is important that players should trust and share the ball with their teammates. The more united the team, the more likely the team will win. On the contrary, if players only trust themselves, they will lose the match. Once, I played in a match, the opponent is weak, so I didn't pass the ball to my teammates once I got the ball. As a result, we lost the match though I got many points. The similar thing happened in another match but with a different ending. Our opponent is very tough and the possibility to beat them is nearly zero, but we shared ball with our teammates and never be selfish, seeking for the best opportunity to score. Surprisingly, we won the match! We can elicit that playing sports cultivate our personal qualities and virtues. These valuable virtues will accompany with us throughout our lives.
Another equally significant reason for my response lies in the fact that sports developed in the aim to build a peaceful and harmonious world. Just think about Olympics. It inspires and teaches us the lesson about life that is people all over the world are friends, not enemies. There shouldn't have too many wars and discrimination as all the people have the common family. There is a saying, one world, one dream. It implies that human should show the harmony and beautifulness not only in the Olympic game but also in our real life. So we should stop making catastrophes on the sake of sports. Instead, we should be aware of the importance of peace and try to make a better world. That is what the sports teach us in our life.
However, playing sports not always benefits people and impress them in the right way. Especially in some sports which contain many body collisions may lead to a violent event because the anger and excitement accumulated during the continuous collisions with rivals. Athletes with weak self control ability will generate a desire of retaliation and finally realize it in the form of violence. It may breed the emotions of violence among audience and make them to be violent people. Generally speaking, this is bad for the development of both the athletes and audience.
In conclusion, if all the factors are contemplated, playing sports teaches us more lessons about life rather than the disadvantages it brings us. So we can finally draw the conclusion that playing sports teaches people more lessons about the life is more realistic and feasible.
