Nowadays, both telephone and television have become the indispensable necessity of our daily life. However, I think telephone has more effects on us than television, which enhances our ability to communicate effectively with others and make the relationship between our relatives or friends and us much closer than ever before.

Firstly, telephone technology makes us to communicate efficiently with others. Because of this technology, we can easily access others when necessary. For me, when I want to discuss some questions I do not know very well with my friends and classmates. I just need to call him or her and set up a meeting time and place, and then we can meet each other and discuss my question in time. If there is something happened, my friends or classmates can not come for our date in time. He or she just needs to call me before the meeting time we made before. Telephone technology truly makes our life more convenient and efficient. However, television is only a kind of entertainment in our daily life.

Secondly, telephone technology makes us keep a great relationship with our relatives and friends. For instance, last year I got a chance to go to America to study there as an exchange student of my university. During this year, I did not feel alone at all. The most important reason is that telephone technology let me communicate with my parents and relatives and friends whenever I want. It really helps me to reduce my solitude. Even though I have some American friends, they can not know very well what I need in my spirit because of our different culture. What is more, on the New Year’s Eve, I call my relatives and friends to express my best wishes to them. No matter how long the distance between my relatives or friends and me, the telephone technology can transform distance into nothing.

In conclusion, even though telephone and television are both irreplaceable to our daily life, television is solely a means of entertainment. Telephone has a more heavy effect on our daily life.
