ScoreItNow是ETS官方的批改平台https://www.dxrgroup.com/cgi-bin/scoreitnow/login.pl，据说是内置erater给分，曾经有版友利用这个平台拿到4分。但是这个平台只开放六道真题。

2. 如果有银子的话，使用scoreitnow, 我考试前2个section都是4分，结果也是4分。大家可以反复修改自己的文章，然后submit看能得多少分。e-rater和人的评分以我的结果看是一致的

建议大家在练习issue 45、102、149之后练习以下6道题把习作回帖发到这里我会给一些反馈然后选一部分发到Scoreitnow去评分  如果大家手头不紧的也可以自己花钱去分析我这里可以补贴一部分详情请私信联系

Analyze an Argument Topics

Bardville Theatre (Evaluate a Recommendation/Predicted Result) argument 97

The following appeared in an e-mail sent by the marketing director of the Classical Shakespeare Theatre of Bardville.

"Over the past ten years, there has been a 20 percent decline in the size of the average audience at Classical Shakespeare Theatre productions. In spite of increased advertising, we are attracting fewer and fewer people to our shows, causing our profits to decrease significantly. We must take action to attract new audience members. The best way to do so is by instituting a 'Shakespeare in the Park' program this summer. Two years ago the nearby Avon Repertory Company started a 'Free Plays in the Park' program, and its profits have increased 10 percent since then. Therefore, I recommend that we start a 'Shakespeare in the Park' program of our own. If we do so, I predict that our profits will also see a significant increase."

Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation is likely to have the predicted result. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.

Late Night News (Specific Evidence)  argument 20

The following is a memorandum from the business manager of a television station.

"Over the past year, our late-night news program has devoted increased time to national news and less time to weather and local news. During this time period, most of the complaints received from viewers were concerned with our station's coverage of weather and local news. In addition, local businesses that used to advertise during our late-night news program have just canceled their advertising contracts with us. Therefore, in order to attract more viewers to the program and to avoid losing any further advertising revenues, we should restore the time devoted to weather and local news to its former level."

Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.

Super Screen Movies argument 80

The following is taken from a memo from the advertising director of the Super Screen Movie Production Company.

"According to a recent report from our marketing department, during the past year, fewer people attended Super Screen-produced movies than in any other year. And yet the percentage of positive reviews by movie reviewers about specific Super Screen movies actually increased during the past year. Clearly, the contents of these reviews are not reaching enough of our prospective viewers. Thus, the problem lies not with the quality of our movies but with the public's lack of awareness that movies of good quality are available. Super Screen should therefore allocate a greater share of its budget next year to reaching the public through advertising."

Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation and the argument on which it is based are reasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.

In the passage, the author suggests to implement with a same national curriculum that demands all its students to take only after they have entered to the college. However, I do not agree with his proposal for his statement is too broad to include all cases and somewhat distort the nature of education to some extent.

开头段没有一个整合的复杂的观点 however后面否定了前面的内容

Education is given to people when they are old enough to accept. The purpose of getting education is to teach students and It delivers out with necessary knowledge and plays an essential point to their further development and future career, for people without knowledge would like to have problem with their life during the modern period. To reach this goal, a nation usually requires their students to take a same national curriculum only after they have finished fundamental education process. It is reasonable to gain a similar curriculum around the nation had people want to enter the university to learn more courses, because most of the majors in the universities require a certain range of knowledge which is given precede the college time and would be significant to begin further research. Process with same courses definitely would solve the disparate knowledge gaps between different students of diverse races or regions. From this point of view, demanding all students to learn the same curriculum before entering college sounds like a sensible advice for the sake to reach common standards of a college.

While the idea seems quite rational, the regulation has simply ignored students' inclination. We cannot deny the distinctions between people around the world and each is unique to some point. Students might have their particular characteristics and interest in a specific field of learning. in this situation, regulation of nation would probably constrain the students' initial talent which is likely to engender an incalculable loss of their own. For example, Mozart, one of the most talented musician and composer, who was born with an originally genuine mind of music. If we assume he was required to study the unified courses of the nation as well as others when he was a children, neither would he advance his skills in music, nor had he influenced the contemporary music field incredibly. therefore, if a nation seeks to apply same national curriculum to its students, the lawmakers must consider those exceptions deliberately.

和前面一段的内容如何整合？目前有矛盾
莫扎特的例子和curriculum的关联不大

In sum, focusing only on the conformity of a student’s received process of their study yet ignoring the key elements of aptitude and interest definitely constrains the development of what might have been their strongest characteristics. the author's suggestion is too absolute to contain all cases, for an advisable advice of this magnitude must experience more rigorous analysis.

还有 imagination这个

Imagine has been highly valued with the advance of modern society, partly because there are increasing wonderful creations come into being mainly due to the imagination. However, I do not agree with the author’s partial statement.

Imagine becomes a striking factor in the area of research which induces to great success during the recent years. Indeed, without prepossession of a certain field of study, people tend to get rid of limit of mind and imagine freely, which is what forms to be necessary reasons that lead to discovery of new method or principle of a specific issue. Like art, renowned artists usually possess a sort of empty mind when they seek to create new pieces so that make it possible to conceive liberally. While carry out imagination that is lacking of restraint of established principle to art creation, it is more likely to achieve master-piece with a fresh method or even surpass the old perspective. Similar to most of theoretical subjects, experience is not as vital when compared with imagination. Scholars are allowed to utilize their unfettered thinking to build new theory which might serves to subvert the former one that was regarded as a fact. From this point of view, imagination is a valuable asset to human beings.

However, the author deduces his assertion only based on the fact that lacking experience permits people to imagine without the constraints of established habits and attitudes. In the contrary, imagine is part of ability originated from the very source of human nature. Whether one would imagine without the constraints of established habits depends largely on his initial but not lacking of experience. We could easy to notice that celebrated theories or principles were mostly built by the famous scholars. Though they hold an extremely deep comprehension within the field they delve into, it is apparent that profound knowledge not only doesn’t obstructed their process of imagine, but serves as a powerful meaning to accelerate the development of that area. Newton’s principle of motion, which has nearly put the groundwork to the modern physics, were presumed and then achieved by such an erudite physician as Newton. One would hardly doubt the experience would always refrain the implement of imagine.

Also, sufficient experiences to a particular field are usually regarded as essential. Imagination is impossible to work alone without the assistance of knowledge obtained from the past experiments for the reason that it contains plenty of condensed experiences which could guide a person to the drive with an applicable way of thinking. As drivers have a difficulty to manipulate cars while they have not practiced before, and skilled workers are confused to operate machines for their deficiency of experiences.

王老师您好，我刚刚通过scoreitnow分析了两篇issue作文，都是5分。个人觉得语言一般，但是通过grammarly修改后ETS没有检测到错误，而且在逻辑方面借鉴了老师的经验。
两篇文章都没有写introductory materials，也不知道为什么能得5分。。。可能ETS更看重逻辑结构吧
