Dr. Wenmeng Tian with the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Mississippi State University is seeking applicants for doctoral-level graduate research assistantships in the area of data analytics in manufacturing systems beginning Fall 2018. The research assistantship provides tuition and fee waivers and a competitive monthly stipend for up to four years.
The prospective students are expected to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the fields closely related to data analytics and/or manufacturing processes, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Material Science Engineering. Potential research topics include statistical modeling, monitoring, and prognostics with applications in advanced manufacturing processes, especially in metal-based additive manufacturing processes.
