DISCIPLINE (STARTING JANUARY 2020)
I am seeking new graduate students with strong programming skills who would be
able to commence their studies in January 2020 or May 2020 and are interested
in research in the following (and related) areas:
* software
* signal processing, especially image processing
* geometry processing and computational geometry
* robust and efficient implementation of algorithms in C++
* education and teaching of programming (especially C++)
* computer systems and security
I am willing to consider applicants with a background in electrical/computer
engineering, software engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
It is essential that the applicant have strong programming skills and a
strong passion for programming, since the research projects of my graduate
students involve a very significant programming component (usually in C++).
Applicants must be self-funded, as I cannot provide financial support.
