首先声明我人在加拿大BC省我参考的网站是UBC的材料我猜美国应该体系类似但我不确定有兴趣的大家再去研究一下

营养学就像医学一样有基础科研和”临床“类的咨询管理等工作
master phd项目是给科研的项目很多有奖学金
而想做”临床“ 则需要一个注册资格（Registered Dietitian）这个资格在BC省是一个UBC的本科项目 3年但你进入项目前还得上2年基础本科这种professional school是没有奖学金的至今没有看到国际学生不能申请的说法但学费可想而知

ARegistered Dietitian is a regulated professional who must completeanaccredited undergraduate educational program and internshiptopractice. Nutrition-related positions in hospitals and publichealthgenerally require dietitian qualifications. For more informationabouta career as a dietitian, visit the Dietitians of Canadawebsite.Dietitian training covers three main practice areas:clinical,foodservice and community. Dietitians are employed inhospitals, publichealth, private practice, education, and industry.About two-thirds ofdietitians are employed by health care facilitiesand work in aclinical capacity (providing nutritional care toindividualpatient/clients).

The title Nutritionist canbe a source of confusion. This title is notregulated, and is used byboth individuals who do not have formaleducation in nutrition (e.g.,health food store clerks and gymemployees) and those that do(dietitians employed in community settings;nutritional scientistsworking in academic or industry settings;nutrition counselors trainedin non-university settings such as privatecolleges). Individuals withNutritional Science degrees are notnecessarily eligible for positionswith the job title Nutritionist.

I already have a degree related to nutrition. Is this program theonly route for me to become a Registered Dietitian?

UBC offersthe only dietetics program in British Columbia and is themost viableoption for becoming a dietitian if you reside in BC. If youhave anutrition-related degree and would like to become a dietitian,here areyour options:

(a) Apply to complete the UBC Dietetics Major as a second degree.Notethat you must compete with other applicants for program admission.Theprogram is 3 years in length for all students, regardless ofpreviouscourses. You are able to apply up to 60 credits from one degreetowardsa second one.

(b) Complete qualifying courses for dietetics to be eligible toapplyfor a post graduate internship. This route has many issues: (i)thereare no longer post-graduate internships available in BC due toUBCsmove to an integrated program with internship included,(ii)internships are very difficult to get (about 50% success rate),(iii)there is no guarantee that provincial regulatory colleges willcontinueto recognize this route to professional practice, and (iv) Manyof theuniversity courses needed to qualify to apply for internshiparerestricted to students in dietetics programs.

(c) Complete qualifying courses for dietetics and apply to acombinedmasters/internship program (e.g., U of Guelph, U of Toronto).Samecourse issues as described in 2 (above). These programs areextremelydifficult to get into (successful applicants typically havehigh GPAand extensive experience related to the field).

(d) Complete qualifying courses for dietetics, complete a MastersDegreeand carry out a self directed internship program underadvisement fromthe provincial dietetic regulatory body in the provinceyou reside in.This is a very challenging and time-consuming route tobecoming adietitian and should only be considered if obtaining aMasters degree isyour primary objective. Obtaining relevant practicumplacementexperiences on a self-directed basis can be difficult toimpossible.
也就是说你想在BC注册一定是要上课而不是考多少个试就可以的而且这些课的学费可想一定不低课时也一定不会少

想转注册营养师的大家 master和phd是个好的出国方式或者是个可行的移民方式但想注册一定要上本科课程付学费你可以移民以后申请贷款再读书但这个和MD一样时间很长也并不确定
