突然收到这个邮件,windsor似乎要招不少人进这个新program,gpa和语言要求不高,好像还接受语言条件录取,好像还有实习机会,还没拿到录取的同学可以考虑下保底或者什么的

Thursday February 13, 2014 Dear Master of Computer Science (MSC) Applicant, We are pleased to announce the launch of a new program at the University of Windsor - Master of Applied Computing (MAC) with Internship. This professional course-based graduate program does not require students to have a thesis supervisor. You are receiving this email because we believe that you may be academically qualfied for this program and would encourage you to apply for Fall 2014. Highlights: The Master of Applied Computing is offered by the School of Computer Science and provides graduates with a solid foundation and knowledge of industry oriented practical aspects of Computer Science, preparing them to take up positions in the growing software industry in Canada and around the world. This program has been specifically designed to expose you to the latest technologies and developments in a number of high-demand fields. Students study for approximately 16 months while enrolled in 8 prescribed courses and one Project/Internship course (2 credits). Courses may include: Advanced Software Engineering Topics, Advanced Database Topic, Internet Applications and Distributed Systems, Advanced Computing Concepts, Advanced Systems Programming, Networking and Data Security, Finance in a Global Perspective, Marketing, Managing Employees and Project/Internship.

Admissions Requirements: - Confirmation of a 4-year Bachelor in Computer Science or a related discipline (70% average overall or a 77% in the last 2 years of study)
- Demonstrated English proficiency by meeting or exceeding a 6.5 score on the IELTS test or approved equivalent (language training available!!)
- 2 letters of reference
- A statement of interest including a description of a major technology project you have undertaken in the past 3 years.
Fees: Tuition and fees are CA$25,000 for instructional cost and are subject to change upon board approval. Other expenses include (approximate): Text books estimated at $1,500
Living Expenses estimated at $10,000
Health Insurance estimated at $2,000 (required) Apply: The application deadline is May 1, 2014. We will keep admissions opne until we fill all available spots for the Fall 2014 cohort. We use a rolling admissions process. Students are notified of the admissions decision within 15 - 20 days from reciept of all admissions materials. No thesis supervisiors are required for this program.
