看到很多童鞋都开始准备visa的申请材料了，想起以前收到的中国研究的小米给我发来的一封email，是一些接受offer之后的FAQ，发上来一些希望对大家有用哈~适不适用于所有人就不好说了，还是那句话有困难找小米哈~
有啥问题大家也可以一起来解决下~~

Student Visa Application
When you prepare for your student visa application, please pay special attention to the followings which applicants usually have questions on:
Visa Sponsorship Form
l
The first two pages is a checklist of required documents. Please read them through and collect the required documents accordingly.
l
“Address of residence you intend to stay in Hong Kong”: You can simply put down “Shatin” if you don’t know the exact address where you will be staying at.
l
“Signature of Applicant”: Please be reminded to sign the form.

Visa Application Form
l
For items with *: Do remember to delete where inappropriate. (on pages 1, 3 & 4 – There are many * on page 4)
l
Signature: Do sign at the bottom of pages 1, 2, 3 & 4.
l
P.3 Item 4 “Class/Course to be attended in Hong Kong”: Please write down “MA in Chinese Studies, Year 1”.
l
P.3 Item 6 “Applicant’s Estimated Cost of Living in Hong Kong”: You can put down the following information:
-
School fee (each academic year): HK$80,000
-
Accommodation (each month): HK$4,000 <if you share a flat with another roommate>
-
Cost of transportation and meal (approximately each month): HK$1,800
-
Others (each month): HK$500
-
Total: HK$155,600 for a year

Supporting Documents

Evidence of your financial standing to prove that you will be able to support your studying and living in Hong Kong: If you pay the tuition fee by yourself, you can provide bank statements, saving account passbooks, etc. of your own. If your parents will support your studies, please submit (i) their bank statements, saving account passbooks or salary proof; (ii) proof of relationship between you and your parents (e.g. birth certificate and their marriage certificate, or 公证书 (for mainland applicants)); (iii) a letter stating that they will support you financially. The letter must be signed by them. It can be written in Chinese. Usually, the financial proof of around HK$140,000 is ok.

Do attach one recent photo.

Do enclose a bank draft of HK$400, payable to “The Chinese University of Hong Kong” or “香港中文大學”. It’s the visa handling fee. Bank drafts can be bought at banks.

Student Visa Application Procedures

The application takes time. Do take action as soon as you receive the admission package.
l
After completing the forms and enclosing all required supporting documents, please submit your student visa application package to our Centre (NOT to the Graduate School). Our Centre will check the forms for you at the first place to make sure the documents are ok. Our Centre’s address is as follows:（这里大家就是应该填写自己所在的学部的地址啦）The Centre will forward your student visa application package to GSO.

GSO will apply for the Student Visa for you with the Immigration Department.
l
After your application is approved by the Immigration Department, GSO will send you a Student Visa label by courier. You can then stick the label onto your travel document.
