A company is going to give some money either to support the arts or to protect the environment. Which do you think the company should choose? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.

An announcement has recently been put up in our community that a corporation tends to utilize some money either to support the arts or to protect the environment. Due to this question, the company operated a questionnaire among people. According to the result of the investigation, 42.3% of the interviewees select to spend the money on the construction of arts, whereas 57.7% of the respondents maintain that the money should be utilized to protect the environment. From my personal perspective, I have a preference for the majority over the minority. Significant though to develop the arts it is, it's more urgent for us to pay attention to our environment.

In consequence of the deterioration of the environment, people currently have to suffer from numerous environmental problems, such as the resource crisis, the conservatory and the unexpected disasters. The frequent happen of earthquake, hurricane, volcanic eruption, tsunami, deluge, drought cause a tremendously large loss to people' lives, for instance, the earthquake took place in the Wenchuan China in 2008. The earthquake led to more than 70,000 people died and injured. Beyond millions of people lost their families. Although the tragedy only happened in few minutes, it caused a long-term and great grief in people's heart. Thus, isn't it necessary for us to spend more money on the protection of our environment?

There is no denying the fact that art is indispensible for people as well. It enables people's lives to be more brilliant and colorful, for example, as one of the most eminent forms of art, movie has a great impact on people's daily life. After a hard day work, go to the movie theater to enjoy the happiness from film can give people relaxation and pleasure. Nevertheless, there are also ample pessimistic effects of movie. An increasing number of adolescents tend to imitate the violent plots in film. Some of them even commit crimes. Therefore, to utilize money on arts may to some extents, assist manufactures to produce more violent art merchandises, which can be very harmful for teenagers.

Manifestly, all the analysis warrants a sounding consequence that for the company, to utilize the money for the protection of environment is more advantageous than to spend on art. If we can stop polluting the nature at once, the nature may treat us more harmonious. So it's essential for the government to invest more for the protection of our environment.
