Theme: Some people prefer to play team sports, while others preferto play individual sports. Discuss the advantages of each. Then indicate which you prefer and why.

Different people may prefer to different kinds of sports. Generally speaking, sports can be divided into two forms, team sports and individual sports. As far as I know, each category has its own advantages.

There are many types of sports that belong to the team sports. Such as, football, basketball, and many other ball sports. The benefits of playing in group can be summarized as following. First of all, it costs less energy than playing individually. For instance, there are always 11 players for each team in a regular football match. The ball is passed between several people that are assigned to discrete positions. Therefore, players can take a short rest when the ball is under others' foot. Second, team sports can cultivate the concept of cooperation and responsibility. As everyone knows, the most important factor in team sports is cooperation. Only do the players cooperate well with each other, the entire team can get a satisfied result. Besides, responsibility is also an imperative aspect for this kind of sport. It requires all the players to unify together. Every success is the team's success; and every fault can even destroy the whole endeavor of the team.

Things always have two sides. Though there are many advantages, there are also disadvantages of playing in team, which are just the benefits of playing individually. First is that, individual sports are not restricted by time and teammate. One can do this kind of sports anytime he/she wants. Like jogging, swimming, skating, and so on. Secondly, playing individually can make one more independent, which is necessary in life and work. Without cooperation and communication, one can solve the problems he/she encounters by himself/herself.

According to the description above, team sports and individual sports exhibit respective advantages and shortages. Faced these two types of sports, I definitely prefer the former rather than the latter. Personally speaking, the team sports are more interesting and exciting. The concept of cooperation and obligation derived from it are also applicable for my daily life and work.
