Title: Ph.D./M.S. Assistantship
Description: Department of Biological and Agricultural
Engineering, Kansas State University, invites applications for
two Graduate Research Assistantships (one Ph.D. and one
M.S.) of Environmental Engineering to begin in the Summer
or Fall of 2013. Graduate funding is available through the
United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The
graduate student(s) will conduct research in field-scale and
watershed-scale assessment of soil erosion by engaging in
installation of field instruments, monitoring data collection,
and watershed and field scale modeling.

Qualifications: Qualified candidates should have a B.S./M.S.
degree in Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil
Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources
or related disciplines. Preference will be given to applicants
with background interests in hydrologic and water quality
modeling and monitoring, geographic information systems,
computer programming with Matlab, C++, Basic, and
experience with environmental assessment tools such as
SWAT, APEX, and WEPP.
