由于对BC一直有好感，特别是其非常小的项目人数，上一届15人。但听说这一届人数会上升，说是控制在25人，但楼主特别担心会出现中国人一半的情况，所以便上网调查出现扩招和我国同胞录取数大增的缘由。原来，BC正在试图扩大自己在世界范围内的存在感，第一步便是设置了一个新职位，叫做：Associate Dean for Global Initiatives，这个职位的负责范围包括the LL.M., London Program, visiting scholars, and Renmin Program。担任这个职位的是这个哥们儿Frank J. Garcia（2013年7月16日上任）

他的具体信息：“Frank J. Garcia joined the BC Law faculty in 2001. He had been an associate professor at the Florida State University College of Law since 1993. He has served as a Visiting Professor at a number of schools around the world including the University of Paris, the University of New South Wales in Sydney, the University of the Republic in Uruguay, the University of Houston Law Center, and as the Katherine A. Ryan Distinguished Visiting Professor at the St. Mary's University School of Law/University of Innsbruck, Austria.

Professor Garcia received his B.A. in Religious Studies from Reed College in 1985, and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School in 1989. He was a law clerk for Andrews & Kurth in Texas and Davis Wright Tremaine in Oregon , and an associate in the Oregon firm Stoel Rives Boley Jones & Grey from 1990-1993.

Professor Garcia was a Fulbright Scholar, as well as a professorial fellow at the Law Institute of the Americas, SMU School of Law, and the Associate Director of the Caribbean Law Institute, FSU College of Law. He has served on the Executive Board and as Vice-Chair of the ASIL International Economic Law and International Legal Theory Interest Groups, and on the Board of the Law School Admissions Council. He currently serves as book review editor and board member of the Journal of International Economic Law, and advises the BC International & Comparative Law Review.

但经过楼主具体调查，发现这只是个头头即boss，真正主管LLM运行的是这个叫Susan Simone Kang女人（Associate Director of Graduate Legal Education）（左边戴眼镜的这个，我一直以为是亚裔）

她的具体信息：“Kang will be responsible for managing the operations of the LL.M. program, helping LL.M. students select appropriate program tracks, and advising on pre and post-graduate options. Additionally, this position will oversee other global initiatives, including study abroad and exchange programs, as well as coordinating the visiting scholars program.

Previously, Kang was the program director for the LL.M. in International Law at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Prior to joining Tufts, she practiced for nine years in international law and obtained her LLM from the Fletcher School as well as her JD with a specialization in international law from Cornell Law School.”

与此同时，楼主还好奇，为什么以前的LLM director非常注意控制项目人数特别是中国人的数量（我发现上届LLM项目的人员控制就非常的平衡合理，美国，南美，亚洲，欧洲，非洲都有同学，并且只有15个人），我好奇那个director到底是个什么样的人，于是又搜了起来。哦，另外，这个director去年才离职，我们14 Fall LLM将是新人Frank J. Garcia和Susan Simone Kang掌权的第一届。

经过调查发现，以前是这个叫Gail J. Hupper的姐姐，她大有来头，在BC前是管Harvard LLM的！！

她的具体情况：“Gail Hupper joined Boston College in 2006 to establish and direct the School’s LL.M. degree program and collaborate in the school’s international programs more generally. Her arrival at Boston College followed a fourteen-year association with Harvard Law School, most recently as a Visiting Scholar. She also held the positions of Assistant Dean for the Graduate Program and International Legal Studies, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid for the Graduate Program, and Associate Director of the European Law Research Center. While at Harvard, she taught Perspectives on American Law and the Legal Practice Workshop for LL.M. students, and served on the Committee on Graduate Studies, the Strategic Planning Committee for Internationalization, and the Programming Committee for Campus Planning. She was a Visiting Professor at the University of Paris X (Nanterre) in April 2008.

Professor Hupper received her B.A. in Political Economy from Williams College in 1980. In 1985 she received her J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was an Editor of the Columbia Law Review. Prior to her time at Harvard, she practiced corporate and securities law at Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York and Hale and Dorr in Boston, and held the position of General Counsel of IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. in Westbrook, Maine. She was admitted to practice in New York in 1986 and in Massachusetts in 1989.

至于她为什么离开BC以及她现在在哪里，我也不知道。

总之，新的Boss 和 LLM director 很有可能会产生新的LLM，我也决定发邮件问问他们那个新的职位的设定会给BC LLM项目产生怎样的影响，以及会不会参加明年再NYC举行的LLM招聘会云云问题。收到BC录取以及对BC感兴趣的亲们都行动起来啊！！！！
