10) Twenty years ago, Dr. Field, a noted anthropologist, visited the island of Tertia. Using an observation-centered approach to studying Tertian culture, he concluded from his observations that children in Tertia were reared by an entire village rather than by their own biological parents. Recently another anthropologist, Dr. Karp, visited the group of islands that includes Tertia and used the interview-centered method to study child-rearing practices. In the interviews that Dr. Karp conducted with children living in this group of islands, the children spent much more time talking about their biological parents than about other adults in the village. Dr. Karp decided that Dr. Field's conclusion about Tertian village culture must be invalid. Some anthropologists recommend that to obtain accurate information on Tertian child-rearing practices, future research on the subject should be conducted via the interview-centered method.
Write a response in which you discuss what questions would need to be answered in order to decide whether the recommendation and the argument on which it is based are reasonable. Be sure to explain how the answers to these questions would help to evaluate the recommendation.

Evidence 01
The result of observation-centered approach 20 years ago was different from a recent research used the interview-centered method to study child-rearing practices.

In the statement above, anthropologists recommend to conduct interview-centered method instead of observation-centered approach so as to gather information about Tertian child-rearing practice, in that there are significant differences in results of the two approach studies. However, in order to evaluate the claim, questions of whether anything has changed in the 20 years, which approach is correct and how can they be generalized are questions that should be answered.

The first question that needs to be answered is whether there's any changes happened in the past 2 decades. 作者20年前的study和现在的相比较，但如果20年当中孩子成长的情况有明显改变，存在2个study的结果都是正确的可能性，这样一来以后改采用哪种方法更好是不能确定的。

To evaluate the conclusion, the author should also answer the conclusion of whether the current study is correct. 文中作者并没有解释为什么认为第二个study的结论是正确的。在interview的时候孩子们是有可能不说真话的。一旦他们是因为被人指导过怎么回答或是因为调皮胡乱回答，interview的真实性不能保证，那未来采用这种方式很可能不如观察法科学。

What's more, even if the author is correct about the exist 2 studies, question of how to generalize such approach is another question that needs answered. 就算作者对于现有两个study的判断都是正确的，也不能代表以后的study需要遵循这样的方法。有可能之后的孩子都too shy to take interviews，那就不适用了；也有可能以后有更加科学的方法，比如说通过大数据建模直接了解他们的生活方式等等。
