我的思路：1，先提出statement错误地分裂了长短期目标间的关系；2，在很多领域，短期目标往往是长期目标的基础；3，也有少数情况，比如文艺演员、童星等是需要在早期seek immediate fame and recognition的。

讨论后的思路：1，除了在某些特殊领域有exceptional talent的人，比如模特、演艺圈、运动员需要大气早成，因为职业周期较短；2，其他的normal people:若追求immediate fame可能导致frustration、loss of confidence、failure，所以应该需要长期的目标来积累experience、training、networking。

规律和方法：一段里最多两个例子，否则不好写。

我之前的思路和提纲：

长期，现实的目标VS当下的名望和认可。
分类为：有长期的现实目标的青年 和没有形成长期目标的青年。

对于已经确立长期且现实的目标的青年，鼓励他们追求梦想比鼓励他们追求短期的名望和认可更重要，原因1：鼓励青年追求长远目标，能使年轻人更有目的的去制定计划，选择相关的短期任务，而不是盲目地追求短期某些与长远目标不相关的成就。举例：梦想当老板的青年，为了实现目标，在当下就应该学习管理、人力调度方面的知识，而不必太在意技术方面的学习。

原因2：侧重鼓励有实际梦想的青年追求短期的成功，很可能使青年面对在短期任务中遇到困难时过度沮丧受挫，而失去继续努力的动力。而鼓励青年追求长远计划则有增加青年耐挫能力的作用，使得青年不屈不挠，不畏困难。举例：总是被强调应该追求短期成功的青年创业者，很可能会在面对一次失败时就放弃尝试。而创业者遇到挫折时很正常的，很多成功企业家都经历过无数次失败。再举例：鼓励被鼓励追求进入理想大学的高中生，更容易克服当前小测验的失败带来的沮丧，更快的振作，继续投入学习。

对于一部分青年，还没有确立个人长期的，现实的目标。对于这些人应该鼓励他们追求当下的名望和认可over追求长期目标，因为认可和成功可以激发兴趣，并且在追逐的过程中了解世界的多样性，这有助于青年找到未来的发展方向。

比如三毛，在上学的时候成绩非常不好，也很苦恼不知道自己未来能做什么，想做什么。后来因为她难以忍受一些认为她未来会非常不成器的老师，选择辍学。此后她上画家的绘画课，专注于画画，得到老师的肯定很受鼓舞，这影响了她一生的艺术之路，她一直深爱美术，养成了极高的艺术修养。她同时读了很多著作，在阅读中积累了自己的写作风格，得到了她的绘画老师的高度认可，并帮她把文章发表。她从此感到终于找到自己的定位，慢慢的成长为一位在中国文学上重要的女作家。

而如果不停地向他们强调，要追求长远的目标，这些青年会感到迷茫，责怪自己没有梦想，而忘记了专注做好手头的事。

抱歉全是中文，因为整个思路和对题目的理解都有问题，就不把它们改写成英文了，楼下贴和老师讨论的memo。

这样分类有点回避问题，既然是鼓励年轻人选择其中一种目标，那就意味着年轻人还没有做好打算。建议按照领域来分，比如体育、文艺界，吃青春饭，超级女声 ，American idol
然后学术界，可以分文科、理科，文科一般要积累 某些理科如数学 有天分的人还是可以追求immediate recognition的。

老师的提纲：
For young people working in academic world, it is important to pursue long-term goals that could be achieved with enough efforts as it takes time for them to review previous studies and collect enough data to develop new theories.  

For young people working in business world as employees, it is also important for them to aim for long-term development as they need time to accumulate experiences and build their own network.

For a small number of young people with the right talent, vision and resources, they may want to seek start their own businesses for which fame and recognition may be helpful for their success.  

我针对老师提纲的想法：第一个段可以具体举一两个学科的年轻人，学习理论知识、将知识运用到实践和科研中是一个很长的过程，求学读书的时间也很长，毕业后科研做出成果也需要积累经验和知识。第二段我想不出什么合适的具体的例子，担心自己车轱辘话来回说。。第三段可以举一些年少有为的天才，比如陶哲轩，有数学天赋，从很小就主动学习数学，30岁就获得了诺贝尔奖。

我对题目的理解：我把长远的现实目标理解为梦想，发展方向。而现实的fame和recognition理解为子目标，当下的小任务，和梦想相关的和不想关的都有。

而老师的理解是，目标是一样的，是需要长期实现，还是可以短期见效，收获名利，就是大器晚成还是早成的问题。

老师的教导：分类时要注意，最好根据一些固有的属性来分，比如学科、领域、有没有天分、家庭收入等等，而不是用题目本身就在讨论的变量。

TS (pt1, pt2, pt3): The argument that youths’ chase for long-run and pragmatic aims ought to be preferable to their pursuit of the immediate fame and recognition is reasonable only when they want to success in the fields like politics. Once we consider the juveniles who have the will to become stars in the fields of entertainment and sports, the advice given in the topic is not the case.

ts (pt1): To begin with, if a young person wants to achieve the goal of becoming a successful political leader, she should prepare for a long time by accumulating relevant knowledge and experience. 一个合格的政治家需要大量的社会学、经济学、政治学方面的知识以及丰富的从政经验、人脉关系、威望。因此致力于在政坛发展的青年就不能急于求成，他们需要把目光放长远一些，潜心学习知识，慢慢积累经验，几十年后他们也许就能在该领域成功。比如历任美国总统，大多都是在某一州或者议会里工作了数十年，才能最终当选。因此，题目中的建议对于要从政的青年是很有借鉴意义的。

ts (pt2): Notwithstanding, if a youth is interested in acting and singing, she needs to hurry up in her career. 演艺与歌唱等娱乐业项目，吃的是青春饭。因此的确对表演和唱歌感兴趣的年轻人就得快点行动，为自己创造出名和获得认可的机会，否则到了自己人老珠黄、活力不再的时候，就悔之晚矣了。例如贾斯汀•比伯十几岁就成名，今年二十岁的他已经是国际巨星了。所以对于想在娱乐圈发展的年轻人来说，题目中的建议是不能采纳的。

ts (pt3): What is more, the juveniles aiming at sports stars should attempt to be famous and recognized as soon as possible. 体育是一个对人的年龄要求更严格的职业，因为一旦人上了年纪，身体机能的下降也许比外貌的老化还要快。所以想当体育明星的人，也不能磨磨蹭蹭的，抓住一切机会展现自己的才能，争取名誉和赏识才是正理。当今的球王梅西，十几岁时就展露出过人的足球才能，二十多岁时就拿下除了世界杯以外所有的团体和个人荣誉。那么在体育领域里，题目中建议也是不成立的。
