48．The following appeared in a magazine article about planning for retirement.

"Clearview should be a top choice for anyone seeking a place to retire, because it has spectacular natural beauty and a consistent climate. Another advantage is that housing costs in Clearview have fallen significantly during the past year, and taxes remain lower than those in neighboring towns. Moreover, Clearview's mayor promises many new programs to improve schools, streets, and public services. And best of all, retirees in Clearview can also expect excellent health care as they grow older, since the number of physicians in the area is far greater than the national average."

Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.

TS (pt1, pt2, pt3, pt4): The author asserts that the town of Clearview is the best site for the retirees to dwell in, citing proofs in four aspects which range from local natural environment to the health care conditions. Although her argument is reasonable and acceptable at first glance, readers still need more evidence to judge whether the final conclusion is valid.

ts (pt3): Thirdly, the writer need to provide proofs to illustrate the mayor will keep her words. 要是有证据证明这个市长总是食言，她的话不信也罢。如果有证据表明该市长言出必行，那么退休者可以考虑作者所说。而市长承诺的修缮schools显然与退休者无关,改进的 streets上会有什么方便退休者的设施也需指明, public services中唯有有利于退休者的部分才是支持作者结论的。

中间第四段
ts (pt4): The final evidence is about the qualification of the local doctors, since the number is merely one aspect of the matter. 医生众多，如果都是庸医，那么退休者来了，岂不是羊入虎口？因此作者需提供证据，表明这些医生的行医资质超群，而且大多是老年病泰斗，而非儿科症专家。
