it is hard to say indeed........最有用=/=最全面.

the answer really depends on what kind of role you want.
e.g. in general, CFA is better for board coverage, but imagine CFA vs FRM/PRM for a risk role.....

but I agree that CAIA is narrow. it is just a small plus, when you are interested in that, and you need to have some other core stuffs before you take it.

虽然PRM和FRM差不多，但是总觉得FRM的知名度高一点也不知道是不是错觉

以及CAIA应该是不会选的，但是cfa和frm/prm中选一个我偏向frm，不过学校prm提供了10门课，觉得prm感觉学起来可能更方便，实话是，cfa和frm/prm都想要，但是有个时间先后问题，你觉得先考哪个比较好？

1. If your MBA (Finance) program didn't get you any exemption towards the PRM and just teach the stuffs in it, I will suggest you take the FRM exam yourself then - they are similar anyway.

2. Take both together while being a student. You are a finance student, so it is just an additional examination instead of studying something new.
To be detailed, I will suggest you to have a detailed review of the program structure, and map the course in your master to topic in CFA & FRM, and then take the exam at the correct time based on your course schedule.
I think finishing 3 or 4 levels out of 5 (3 X CFA + 2 X FRM) in 2 years is a reasonable expectation.

3. Agree with "CAIA应该是不会选". I have to say that it is an interesting one and it helps him quite a bit in CFA III preparation, but I didn't find it useful in career since getting the certificate yet...

谢谢大大，学校要求了一年预科，虽然只有4门课，我看能不能调整到一学期上完，如果不能非得上一年的话，那其实我第一年预科就只有四门课了，所以应该有大把的时间

项目里面貌似没有免除prm的科目，不过我回头再仔细看看和询问一下

CFA三级和FRM二级吗？CFA和FRM 的教材可以在国内买了带出去吗?

.......what the hell!? 預科for MBA!? 還要一個學期!? 這玩意居然有人肯付錢讀!? 這學校有病的嗎!?
一個暑假已經是能夠忍受的極限了.....

MBA教甚麼accounting, management, business econ, marketing, finance之類也要預科....這真的是大學而不是補習社嗎?!


教材 is a small issue. as long as it is in English, and as long as it is a good one, where you buy it doesn't matter.

this is not a reason at all.
general business course are easy academically (MBA is for soft skills, and preparation course are not for this), and every one with a normal brain should be able to handle it.

don't tell me they don't require GMAT also........that is the tools to test if one is good enough for that.

宽进严出 for MBA, 呵呵呵..........

1. MBA is for networking, learning from benefiting from peers.
2. MBA is easy academically. It is a difficult task to fail it. (the main part is about soft skills)

and thus, if an MBA has a high failing rate, that means they are taking in a under-qualified cohort, i.e. it is a good opportunity for learning "how to cooperate and deal with stupid people" at a costly MBA price tag. What an interesting experience and what an amazing plan.

P.S. don't forget that MBA is something once-in-life. reading an crappy MBA = one wont have chances to buy a big name later in life anymore (MBA is one of the best tool for buying a big name on CV)


P.S. distance, online preparation course, between admission and start of semester makes much better sense. (normally it is a statistics course, or accounting, because they are technical and fundamental course)
this is what I mean by having a summer preparation course is something acceptable.
