Openings:
The Social Sensing Lab in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Notre Dame (http://cse.nd.edu/) has multiple openings for PhD students to work under the guidance of Dr. Dong Wang (http://www3.nd.edu/~dwang5/) starting from Spring/Fall 2018.

Prospective students with a M.S or B.S degree (or expected by the time of admission) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply.  The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on exciting research projects in emerging areas of big data, networking and systems, and network science. Examples include: (1) big data analytics, reliable information distillation systems; (2) social sensing, crowdsourcing, cyber-physical-human systems; (3) smart cities, Internet of Things (IoT), real-time and embedded systems; (4) network science, information and online social networks. Preferred candidates should have a strong background in data analytics/networking/statistics/embedded systems/distributed systems and/or solid system implementation and development skills.
