The research group of Prof. Weiyi Lu at Michigan State University is looking for a passionate and highly self-motivated Ph.D. student. The future research areas are mainly focusing on experimental mechanics, including dynamic behavior of advanced nano-materials and composites, solid-liquid interaction, among others. Preference:

• The candidate must have already earned or should soon earn the M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or in a closely related field.
• Background in materials processing, materials characterization, experimental mechanics, dynamic impacts
• Experience on Matlab, LabView, and Solidworks
• Fluent in English, good written and verbal communication skill
