PHD FELLOWSHIP IN QUEBEC, CANADA
Networks and Cyber Physical Systems Lab (NECPHY-Lab: http://necphy-lab.com ) at University of Quebec directed by Prof. Long has been conducting research on cutting edge technologies for advanced wireless systems (4G/5G and beyond systems, WiFi, ZigBee, Internet of Things,…), smartgrid technologies, emerging applications of wireless technologies and artificial intelligence.
NECPHY-Lab has trained many successful young scientists through the master, PhD, and postdoctoral programs many of whom are now leading R&D engineers at high-tech companies, postdoc fellows and professors at well-recognized universities. Prof. Long Le has an excellent record of accomplishment with more than 5000 citations, h-index 39 according to Google Scholar. He had hold positions at leading universities including Massachusetts Institute of Technology (US), University of Waterloo (Canada), and University of Manitoba (Canada).
NECPHY-Lab is currently looking for two well-motivated PhD candidates, starting January 2019. The chosen candidates will be offered a full financial support including tuition fee, medical insurance and the stipend of at least 1,000$/month during the PhD study.
Requirements:
Hold both bachelor and master degrees in electrical, computer engineering or related disciplines
Graduated from well-recognized universities with good GPAs and a decent publication record
English proficiency: IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
The chosen candidates will perform research on emerging wireless technologies for (fog computing, edge caching, UAV/drone, cellular V2X, network slicing, massive MIMO, mmWave, SDN,...); AI (artificial intelligence) for wireless and emerging applications (healthcare, smartgrids, connected and autonomous vehicles); blockchain
