美国乔治梅森大学 (George Mason University) 计算机工程系(ECE/CE)Cryptographic Engineering Research Group (CERG) 招收多名全奖博士生。现主要研究领域包括:
1. Efficient implementations of Post-Quantum Cryptosystems, side-channel attacks targeting these cryptosystems, and countermeasures against such attacks.

申请者需要满足以下基本条件:
(1) 较强的数理基础 (2) HDL硬件编程经验 (3) 熟练使用C 和scripting 编程语言。
加分项包括Experience in:
(1) Magma or SageMath (2) FPGA or ASIC design (3) software/hardware codesign (4) High-Level Synthesis (5) embedded software development, and/or Linux operating system。

2. Efficient and secure implementations of Lightweight Cryptography.

申请者需要满足以下基本条件:
(1) 熟悉嵌入式系统开发 (2) HDL硬件编程经验  (3) 熟练使用 C,  assembly, and scripting编程语言(4) 熟悉Linux 操作系统 (5)有较强的 experimental skills。
加分项包括Experience in:
(1) side-channel and/or fault attacks (2) countermeasures against these attacks (3) FPGA or ASIC design (4) software/hardware codesign (5) embedded software development and/or circuit/PCB design。

Cryptographic Engineering Research Group (CERG) at George Mason University, U.S.A., is seeking qualified candidates for multiple Ph.D. students / Graduate Research Assistants in the area:

1.        Efficient implementations of Post-Quantum Cryptosystems, side-channel attacks targeting these cryptosystems, and countermeasures against such attacks.

The desired qualifications include
* strong mathematical background in algebra and number theory,
* experience in hardware design using hardware description languages, and
* knowledge of C and scripting languages, such as Python.

Additional experience in
* Magma or SageMath,
* FPGA or ASIC design,
* software/hardware codesign,
* High-Level Synthesis,
* embedded software development, and/or
* Linux operating system
is a plus.

All positions are open starting in January 2019. Qualified candidates should apply to the ECE Ph.D. program at George Mason University by October 15, 2018. In parallel, an earlier e-mail contact with Dr. Gaj <kgaj@gmu.edu> and Dr. Kaps <jkaps@gmu.edu> is highly recommended.

Please note that a subset of the aforementioned requirements may be sufficient, and if the positions are not filled by the Spring 2019 deadline, starting Ph.D. studies in Fall 2019 may be possible. In any case, please contact the aforementioned professors as early as possible.

Dr. Gaj and Dr. Kaps will do their best to interview a substantial number of candidates that best meet the requirements of all advertised positions, using Skype, before October 15, 2018.
