在研究中学生会得到模拟和实验的全面训练。多尺度模拟：（1）原子尺度包括分子动力学molecular dynamics simulations （LAMMPS），activation relaxation technique, Monte Carlo algorithm; (2) 介观尺度包括 off-lattice kinetic Monte Carlo, phase field, percolation; （3）宏观尺度包括晶体塑性和有限元分析 （ABAQUS）；（4）机器人学习模型。多尺度力学测试：（1）in-situ TEM; (2) nanoindentation; （3）atomic force microscopy；(4) in-situ neutron and synchrotron diffraction (与Oak Ridge National Lab & Argon National Lab合作)。
招生要求：欢迎具有以下学习和研究背景的同学申请：固体力学，计算力学，材料科学与工程，材料冶金，材料物理，工程物理，理论与计算物理。特别欢迎使用过LAMMPS，ABAQUS的同学申请。

Prof. Lin Li’s group at the University of Alabama has openings for PhD students to join starting Fall 2019. Please find details below and contact Prof. Lin Li at lin.li@eng.ua.edu along with the up-to-date CV and transcript if you are interested.
The research topics in Dr. Lin Li Group include (1) multiscale modeling of structure and mechanical properties of advanced metallic systems including metallic glass, nanocrystalline metal and high entropy alloy; (2) material microstructural modeling of processing and microstructural relationship of advanced alloys fabricated by selective laser melting; (3) material informatics and data-driven machine learning models for material design and material properties.
