CV是Curriculum vitae的简称，也有的人叫Curriculum vita。
有人解释说，curriculum vitae就是course of life，用“人生的过程”来解释比较恰
当，
汉语把它翻译成“简历”，但是，也有不同的地方。
关于CV的写法，是个非常有争议的话题。如果问两个人：“什么样的CV才更完美？”，
一定
会得到两个不同的答案。专家总是用“DO”或者“DON'T”以及一大堆的“常见错误”让
我
们觉得这些东西更加神秘和可畏。
不要指望有一份完美而且权威的CV，如果你登陆到亚马逊书店，可以看到很多教你如何
写CV
的大部头书籍，另外，在国外，还有很多专门替别人写CV的公司，他们声称可以写出让
对方
印象深刻的CV，每份收费几百美金。
CV到底是什么呢？在 分 申请大学、找工作等等，一般都需要它。我们可能还知道有个
类似
的东西，叫Resume，申请过加拿大移民的人不会忘记这个东西。一般来说，CV比Resume
略为
严格一些，更要突出一下本人的专业背景和实力。curriculum vitae这个名称其实有点
文绉
绉的味道，难怪很多人把它当成了“成绩单”，如果我们把它理解为“人生的成绩单”
就比
较确切了，有人比喻说：“CV是一份按年代顺序排列成的购物单，上面列出了这些年来
你究
竟买到手了哪些东西，而不是单单是描述一下你这些年来你买东西的历史”。
在欧洲，除了英国以外，虽然每个国家对CV的格式和内容等方面的要求各不相同，但是
，即
使是仅仅找工作，所有的国家要求的也都是CV，而不是那种随意的Resume，而在美国，
似乎
只有申请大学的时候才需要CV，这也许是欧美文化方面的小小不同。普遍的意见认为，
如果
找工作，CV一般写成大约两篇左右的样子（A4），这样的篇幅已经很多了，除非您的专
业经
验非常丰富，才可以写更多。如果申请大学，要看具体的要求，也就是说要看火候，有
的时
候也不是多多益善。
比如说，法语鲁汶要求的CV是这个样子的（Department of Economics ）：
A complete CV include:
· personal information (name, citizenship,etc)
· mailing address and possibly telephone/fax
· e-mail address (desirable)
· university degrees
· possible publications
· possible professional experience
VUB心目中的CV却是这样的（Faculty of Law）：
The curriculum vitae should be narrative and give a picture of the applicant
as
a person. It should deal with personal history, special interests and
abilities, future plans, etc. It may not be a mere listing of facts or a sim
ple
restatement of the application.
所以，有的时候孤立地谈CV也不恰当，还要看具体的要求。
CV要点 CV是一个人所经历过的各种活动、荣誉以及其他信息的列表。和RESUME一样，C
V应
该包括你的名字、联系信息、受教育的经历、技能以及工作经验。除了这些它还应该包
括你
的你的科研或者教学经历、论文以及专著的列表、曾经获得过的各种奖励和荣誉、曾经
得到
的专业证书（例如工程师资格证书）、获得的专业协会资格、你的兴趣所在、未来的发
展计
划以及其他详细信息等等。
格式有多种变化。下面是专业人士给大家的意见，如果有的人有不同看法，请攻击他们
，不
要攻击我们：
CV的长度：
写得太长，大概是最普遍的错误。我们认为，CV应该简洁，去掉废话，2页是通常最长的
篇
幅。如果工作专业经验不多的话，1页会更有意义。
CV的细节：
对方不感兴趣的信息简写或者，干脆不写。有的时候，建议仅仅用年份来叙述你的经历
，而
不是精细到月份。
你的历史：
把你的重心放到对近期经历的描述上。还有，如果你已经达到了LEVEL 2的水平，过分详
细
地描述你的LEVEL 1状态就有些意义不大，除非你在LEVEL 1的时候非常优秀。对方更感
兴趣
的是你的现在，虽然他们也很关心你的过去。
你的兴趣和各种活动：
容易发生的错误是在这部分写得太多，使CV的风格很象美国式的RESUME，所以建议这部
分尽
力保持简洁。
推荐人：
在CV上，最好不要包括推荐人的详细信息。这样会使CV显得混乱，尤其是，如果你的推
荐人
被打扰了，还有可能在被询问的时候还以一个对你毫无益处的回答。实际上，CV不是推
荐
信，很少有要求提供推荐人的详细信息的。
CV模板 一般来说，CV应该包括一个怎样的结构呢？请看下面的模板，仅供参考：

CV范例 看过了模板，大家再看一个范例。这个范例来自一家国外的CV写作中心。当然应
该
是比较专业了。但是，还是那句话，大家一定要酌情参考，具体写作的时候还要根据具
体的
要求和自己的具体情况，如果没有这个人那样非同寻常的履历，就可以大大削减篇幅。
不要
一味效仿。
还有一点，有人会问：上面刚刚说过——在CV上，最好不要包括推荐人的详细信息。可
是这
个范例中就恰恰相反，是不是自相矛盾呀！

作中心给很多人都这样写，还有的干脆把它公布出来成了范文，结果这篇文章成了最烂
的文
章。教授只要看了头几行，就知道后面的内容了。
生活中没有永远正确的道理，固步自封会影响自己能力的发挥，别人的东西只能参考，
真正
适合自己的的东西还要靠自己来创造。
