[八校联盟] 香港城市大学何志浩课题组征求忆阻神经元器件或透射电子显微镜专长之博士后与博士生 [复制链接]

何志浩(Jr-Hau He)教授课题组在Department of Materials Science and Engineering, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) 拟招收博士后與博士生若干名。

博士生之要求如下:

一、征求者的研究方向
1. 忆阻神经元器件 (Memristor Synapses for Neuromorphic Computing)
2. 光电催化(Photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation and CO2 reduction)
3. 透射电子显微镜 (TEM)

二、在满足CityU基本入学条件的基础上,满足以下所以条件者优先考虑
1. 985本科,有硕士为佳;
2. 具有化学、物理及材料相关背景,丰富物理器件制备的研究背景者;
3.具有独立思考问题和科研能力,同时具有团队协作精神;
4. 托福79分以上或者雅思6.5(Cityu要求),具有优异的英语书面和口头表达能力。

何志浩(Jr-Hau He)教授,其研究领域是神经形态工程在网络安全与深度学习(Neuromorphic engineering for cybersecurity and deep learning),智能城市,与光电器件的光管理,包括光侦测器与太阳能电池,光电解水电池。这几年基于过去的基础瞄准材料学、电子学、信息学、物理与化学等学科的交叉领域,研究兴趣延伸至纳米能源材料与器件、自供电系统、纸印刷电子学,可挠式/透明电子组件等基础与应用研究。除了科学研究之外,何志浩教授对技术工业化相当重视,积极参与产学合作、持续技术转移给工业界。基于上述学术贡献和前沿研究经验,积极开展科研项目,过去从企业界与学术界承担超过一千一百万美金的项目支持。他是美国光学学会(OSA),国际光学工程学会(SPIE)与皇家化学学会(RSC)会士。目前也是IEEE Electron Devices Society杰出讲师(Distinguished Lecturer)。

2020年 QS全球最佳大学排名中,城大名列52。2019年《美国新闻与世界报导》全球最佳大学排名,城大工程学科位列全球第15。2018年「世界大学科研论文质量评比」,也连续11年把城大工程学科评香港第一。

PhD positions in Prof. Jr-Hau He’s lab at Department of Materials Science and Engineering, City University of Hong Kong (CityU). (Prof. He moving from KAUST, Saudi to CityU in summer of 2019) (nanoenergy.kaust.edu.sa) We are looking for talented, highly motivated, and hardworking PhD students with interest in exploring cutting-edge research in one of below areas:

1. Photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation and CO2 reduction
2. Memristor Synapses for Neuromorphic Computing
3. TEM

The qualified applicants are expected to have a strong quantitative basis, a solid publication record on the subject, and capacity for team work.

CityU admits graduate students centrally through the school of graduate studies and the admission is highly based on the GPA and publication records of the applicants.

Financial Support for Graduate Students:
CityU studentships offer a stipend of ~ $HK 17,000 per month, 12 months per year, to all successful candidates. Good academic performance can qualify for the additional tuition scholarship and travel fund to attend interantional conferences.
