150 "Because of television and worldwide computer connections, people can now become familiar with a great many places that they have never visited. As a result, tourism will soon become obsolete."
With the rapid development of televisoin and Internet, people nowadays could get information from different places easier than ever before. In my point of view, however, this is not mean that them could eventually substitute tourism.
Fisrt of all, travlling is always a effective manner for us to consolidate relationship with our family and firends, and to offer more oppotulities to make new firends, while TV and Internet could offer a little. Under a joyful circumstance, we would be more willing to communicate the deepest thought in our mind. Thus we can have a better understanding of people around us. We can express our love to our family and friends, and share the most enjoyful time with them. Moreover, during a trip we can meet people from different parts of the world with different cultural background. We can talk with them, share our opinions, and make new firends.
In addition, we can really get relaxation and enjoyment during a journey. Although TV and webs in the Internet may present us the most beautiful pictures, sweet sound and excellent definition, they could ensure us to experience nothing but to imagine. However, when we go out for a trip, we can really enjoy the charm of the nature. Standing on the top of mountain, we can smell fresh air, see the sun rising from the orient, listen to beautiful songs sang by various birds. Lying on the sand beach, we can enjoy the sunshine, pick up various lovely shells and taste the most delicious seafood. Talking with the local residents, we can learn interesting storise and custom of them, which result in a wider eyeshot, a better understanding of their culture. As for people who interest in photography, touriam surly provides countless material for them.
Finally, rather than hamper tourism, morden information technology has in fact promote the development of travel industry. The travelling guide programs shown in television would greatly explode people's desire for "go and see". And the internet enable us to reserve a hotel or to search effective travel agency conveniently and quickly.
In sum, travelling as an important way of entertainment in one's life could never be replaced by other forms. Because it can meet with some basic needs such as sensibility, relaxation, curiosity of humanity. |
