rt,收到EE@Syracuse的拒信。信里写的很奇怪,难道它主动收的学生都给Financial Aid吗?
Dear****,
The Graduate Committee in the Electrical & Computer Engineer has reviewed your academic credentials and found them to be excellent. However, admission to the Doctor of Philosophy program in Electrical & Computer Engineer at SU requires both academic merit and full funding from either internal or external sources. You have not been selected for funding from Syracuse University and we have no information that indicates you have external funding. As a result, we must deny your request for admission. We hope you find some consolation in the fact that this program is one of the most highly competitive at Syracuse University, accepting only about 5% of all applicants annually. Competition is rigorous for the resources available within the department and the number of qualified applicants exceeds the amount of support available. Should your situation change, and you are able to obtain funding from an outside source, we would be happy to reconsider your application. The cost of one year (12 months) at Syracuse University is determined based on the number of credits your program requires, your living habits, cost of living expenses and possible changes in tuition and fees. Please refer to the table at http://gradsch.syr.edu/costs.pdf, which summarizes the approximate cost of attendance, including all university costs and living expenses. By locating your academic program listed in the table, you can easily determine the estimated cost of attendance for one year of study. In the event that you are able to locate financial assistance, you will need to provide a current certified bank statement(s) on official bank letterhead indicating sufficient funds to meet at least first year expenses. When sending documentation of adequate funding, photocopies of financial documents are acceptable, and you may fax the documents to 315-443-3423. Be sure to write your name and application number on all documents you send us. Thank you again for your interest and your application. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.
