1. Opportunities of working on Bioinformatics at the Univ. of Kansas

(1) Bioinformatics and Computational Biology PhD Program at the University of Kansas
http://www.bioinformatics.ku.edu/education
http://www.molecularbiosciences.ku.edu/bioinformatics/

The Bioinformatics Program and the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Kansas offer a PhD program in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology. The University of Kansas has world-class credentials in bioinformatics, computational biology, life sciences, and information technology and actively engages in community-wide activities in related disciplines. The Bioinformatics faculty members are recognized leaders in their field. For more information, see Bioinformatics Program / Center for Bioinformatics at http://www.bioinformatics.ku.edu. The Department of Molecular Biosciences (http://www.molecularbiosciences.ku.edu) also has PhD programs in Genetics, Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics and Microbiology. These programs complement on-going efforts to expand the life sciences at the University of Kansas (http://www.ku.edu).

The successful applicants will be enrolled in the Bioinformatics track in the Department of Molecular Biosciences graduate program and later assigned to the Bioinformatics graduate program upon its approval.

For application information, see http://www.molecularbiosciences.ku.edu/application.
When applying on-line, use the biochemistry/biophysics track.
