Everyday there are so many scandals that have been published in front of people. And people usually like to read scandals in the newspaper. Is every scandal helpful for people?
Scandals are useful. They know scandals, then they know the truth that comes with scandal. Scandals are exposed because someone don't want people know what they cover. But people have the right to figure out what have really happened, why some people want to hide and whether the truth is bad for people.
If the scandal of San Lu was not exposed, there would have more babies got hurt. It happened couple years ago when a few parents found their babies taken powder of San Lu lacking of nutrition and their neural system had broken permanetly. And after investigation, people found out that the company mixed something useless and harmful into powder in order to improve the content of protein in the test. The scandal took people's attention to the powder company and may have saved thousands of babies.
But we can not say that speaker of reformer does not pay attention to scandals. There is no reason for them not to exposed scandals. They would love to help people engaged in different issues. On the other hand, people usually pay more attention on them than other who is nobody. Not noly speakers and reformers become heroes, but more people will focus on the scandals. That will make a difference.
And besides, we don't know what the scandals are. Some scandals could waste time if people dig on it. Do you like spend hours just want to know whether the star is late for some meeting? It is useless.
It also depends on different people whether the scandals are useful. Academician may like to pay more attention to academic scandals like making up papers. But to someone, like musicians or normal workers, they don't care who is cheating in the paper or who takes other's work. What people focus is what they do and what they are interested in.
Whether a scandal is useful will be relied on people. Only scandals telling the truth and helping people know their world better are useful.
