Because the world is change so quickly, people are now less happy andless satisfied than the people in the past.The statement that because of the rapid changes of the world, peoplenow are not that happy and satisfied than before is quite reasonable andverisimilar at first glance. But with further consideration, it may beunwarranted with some intrinsic and inherent flaw. As to me, I agree with thestatement. The further reasons and details will be listed as follows.
To begin with, I admit that the world is really changing so quickly.With such tremendous speed of changing, the life of modern people should beaffected in different aspects. Although the development can be beneficial topeople's life, but comparing with its undesirable influence, the benefit may beovershadowed. In other words, the rapid change can bring more pressure thanpleasure. That's why people today are not happy and less satisfied. Forexample, with the development of some modern large cities, like Beijing, thereare more people who come there for opportunities. Thus, with more people in thecity, the pressure of providing houses soars greatly. So now the price of thehouse is one of the most important and headachy problems. And the people whocannot afford the house may be quite frustrated, and of course, unhappy.
Moreover, with the quick change, the requirement and criteria of thesociety are also modified. It is said that the pressure of modern life is toomuch and so many people choose to commit suicide instead of facing the stress.Why? It is mainly because the basic requirement of the society is differentthan before. For example, ten years ago, the bachelor can find a satisfied jobafter graduating from school. However, in nowadays, the students with masterdegree cannot even find a job in the work market. The basic requirement, in avariety of fields, is changed. Thus, the people who cannot be qualified to meetthe requirement or cannot follow the speed of the change will not be satisfied,without doubt.
In all, the trend of the development make it undoubted that the peopletoday should be more and more unhappy and unsatisfied than before. Only the slowdownof such trend can help to reduce the pressure scattered in public. 新年快乐。
