写第一篇Argument 请狠批 不狠得不要 请下狠手

题目是第一篇Wovenbaskets characterized by a particular distinctive pattern have previously beenfound only in the immediate vicinity of the prehistoric village of Paleaand therefore were believed to have been made only by the Palean people.Recently, however, archaeologists discovered such a "Palean" basketin Lithos, an ancient village across the Brim Riverfrom Palea. The Brim River is very deep andbroad, and so the ancient Paleans could have crossed it only by boat, and noPalean boats have been found. Thus it follows that the so-called Palean basketswere not uniquely Palean.Write a response in which you discuss whatspecific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how theevidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.

This argument concludes that the "Palean" baskets were not exclusive handcraft in Palean village basedon the archaeological evidence that the same characteristic baskets were foundon both sides of Brim River which is supposed to be broad and deep.

Unfortunately, it seems that, imprudently, the author rules out some other possibilities that can overthrow hisassumption. One of the main defect is that the author dose not pay attention tothe chronology of the village and the rive, form which we can verify if theyare in the same historical period, because it is reasonable if Brim River was formed after people settled down to construct the village.

Moreover, another alternative explanationwhich can weaken this argument is that it is feasible that the river hadalready been totally dry even it exists longer than the village. In this case, the people on both sides of the river are in the position to communicate withoutany obstacles.

In addition, even though the two conditionsI present above can support the author`s assumption which means, Brim River was an insuperable barrier between the people of two sides, theauthor is still unaware of the influence of climate. It is straightforward toimage that in winter when the temperature was below zero, with thick ice undertheir feet
people in Palean can reach Lithosvery smoothly

In a nutshell, the reasoning behind thisargument seems to be plausible. Nevertheless, this assumption is not pursuable beforethe author puts up with other proof which can exclude all the possibility that the"Palean" baskets are merely woven in Palean.
