With the development of the technology, the modern world has changed greatly from the ancient society. When it comes to the past history, there are a considerable number of opinions held on different individuals based on different reasons. If the study of history is valuable? Admittedly, some areas and problems in the modern society are much different from the ancient society, so we are not able to make connections between current events and past events, thus, we could learn little from the history, However,there are still a host of experience and knowledge that are of great value that we need to learn from the history.
Admittedly, the modern world has changed so hugely that there are a great many of big differences between the current events and past events. In the ancient time people did not know what nuclear energy it is, and they did not know
nuclear energy can be used as weapons, either. While in the nowadays nuclear weapons have become an increasingly more popular among international wars and the nuclear weapon has become a hot topic among people.Moreover, the ancient people had never faced numerous environment problems, for instance, the climate is becoming warmer and warmer, a great many of animals and plants are in the danger of being extinct. The ancient people have never faced such problems , so we modern people cannot learn something valuable from them, thus we have to make important decisions independently to these problems.
However, though there are a lot of things we can not learn from history, something in the history is still of great value that is worthy for us to learn. In terms of politics, the appearance of the economic crisis tells us that the market economy of the capitalism also needs the regulation of its government, which could help the government make a wise decision in the areas of economic control. However, without the history experience, the government would tend to make a less wise decision. In addition, numerous scientific findings and inventions are based on the products of the ancestors. Without the three laws of Kepler, clarifying the theory of planets revolve around the sun, there would be no great achievements of space technologies. Without Leeuwenhoek's efforts to the microscope, there would be no invention of the electron microscope. It is drawing on our ancestors' products that gets us make decisions much easier. Therefore, in some areas we could make connections between the ancient events and current events and the history is beneficial to help us make important decisions.
Summed up, though there are some differences between the modern events and ancient events, however, there are still a lot of somethong valuable that we need to learn. Therefore, when we have something difficulty to solve, maybe we could acquire some inspiration from the ancient history.
