One problem with this argument involves the citing of a recent survey by Cheese of the World.The author fails to provide any details about the people who participate in this survey.It is quite possible that these subscribers happened to be the workers of local domestic cheese factories.They intend to increase the sales so as to make a salary lift next year.We just don't know the way this survey is taken and any assumptions by citing this unrepresentative survey is unwarranted.
The author unfairly infers from the relatively high consumption of domestic cheese in the newest stores last year that in the near future the sales will still high.People's taste may change in the next five years and it is just as likely that the customers who enjoy having cheese in the newest stores are changing their flavor and no longer buy these domestic cheese.
Even assuming that the customers do have a preference for domestic cheese and domestic ones are really more popular among these people,the author's assertion that it is a better way to improve the profits is still unwarranted.He fails to show us that discontinuing the stocking varieties has really possible and useful for all stores throughout the country.Perhaps the profits per imported cheese are much higher that the domestic ones. Or perhaps the stores in downtown areas do have a preference for imported one.We just don't know whether this decision is suitable and really does good to reducing the cost.
This argument lacks strong data that will prove concentration on domestic cheese is the best way for the chain cheese stores.The data including the specific taste of the customers around the country and whether stores could really reduce cost by discontinuing the varieties of cheese sort will render a strong argument.
