argument 173
The following appeared in a letter to the editor of the Balmer Island Gazette.
The population on Balmer Island doubles during the summer months. During the summer, then, the town council of Balmer Island should decrease the maximum number of moped rentals allowed at each of the island's six moped and bicycle rental companies from 50 per day to 30 per day. This will significantly reduce the number of summertime accidents involving mopeds and pedestrians. The neighboring island of Torseau actually saw a 50 percent reduction in moped accidents last year when Torseau's town council enforced similar limits on moped rentals. To help reduce moped accidents, therefore, we should also enforce these limitations during the summer months.
Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on these assumptions and what the implications are for the argument if the assumptions prove unwarranted.
关于这个instruction我讲几点自己的理解：
1.首先说的是假设，每一段的攻击点都找assumption
2.然后接着要讲how the argument depends on，这边讲一个约束条件，比如说当如何如何的时候这个assumption可以推出这个argument。
（这两点建议写1到2句即可）
3.接着就是implication了，其实就是imagination，想象如果上面的assumption没有被保证会发生怎样的事。可以直接用一个however表明一下态度，然后用排比句列出几点可能的推测即可。（这个instruction并没有要求进一步展开。所以到这里就可以了。）
4.最后再总结一下照应段首。
以上纯属个人看法，仅供参考。
另外再说一下关于写作方式是否改变的事，其实这个之前在qwe1__rty2的帖子里已经有过类似的讨论，我在此借鉴过来。
关于无固定主题写作：
顾名思义，本小组不再给出固定题目，组员可自行选择作文题目上传。
这样做有一个比较明显的好处就是我们可以在更短的时间内接触到更多更广泛的题目，以便考试中在应对未写过的作文时有一个大致的思路而不至于乱了方向。
当然这也有一个小小的缺点，批改起来可能会没有同主题那么得心应手，深层次的东西可能把握不好。不够我之前经过试验，发现批改文章结构、论证过程以及语法等基本没有问题。
针对这个问题，明天将发起一次投票~希望同学们踊跃参与哟。

累死了，搞不动Issue了, Argument省脑子一点儿。。 组长组长，咱是怎么个分组修改的呀 今天实验室事儿太多没时间写新的……请假一天 明天还要开一天会 晚上才能上网 提前发表一些交作业方式改革的观点，我赞同无固定主题写作，原因组长说的很明确我就不赘述了。另外，个人认为修改作文比写新的作文更加重要，所以提议每天不一定要提交新的写作，也可以提交修改之后的作文，但要保证至少每2-3天写一篇新的作文，当然每天写也可以。大家觉得怎么样？ 27分钟写的，有些仓促~~不足之处欢迎指出。 aprilholic 发表于 2013-6-14 21:01 static/image/common/back.gif
