ISSUE113,50分钟,是我写得最快也是最差的一次:(麻烦大侠们帮我看看吧~~~
ISSUE113 It is primarily through identification through social groups that we define ourselves.Society, an organized group of people who live in the fellowship of one another, is made up of individuals , among whom none are exactly alike. Apparently, social groups plays a vital role in the individual identification, for the social groups an individual lives in may be regarded as one of the important attributions of him or her. Thus I agree with the speaker, however, I argue that besides identification through social groups, there are many other ways to define ourselves.
In the first place, definition of a human being is a complicated and confused conception, which calls for the considerations of many factors. Social group, adimttedly, is one of what may decide one's attribution. Everyone may play a lot of roles in everyday life, such as the parent of the children, the employee or employer of the enterprise, the consumer of the shop, etc. While playing any part, an individual can find his/her proper place, which may also bring them self-satisfaction. Here is a story of my friends, who works for a international company as a manager in charge of the sales, and meanwhile learns MBA courses in a college. When asked how he could manage all these successfully, his reply is very simple: "to personate well every role in the situation where he is experiencing and forget others. When I'm working in the company, I am a manager to my employees; when studying in the college, I am nothing but a diligent student, and only in this way can I get along well with both my careers and studies." His case shows us that individuals are nothing unless put in the social backgrouds, what's more, only placed in the social environment can individuals's identification have the essencial meaning.
On the other hand, the social groups an individual lives in also have great impact on him/her. It is self-evident that every social group has its own characteristics and people living in it also have a lot in common. For example, in a religious group, everybody has the same faith, so that one may easily find his/her self-convinction, and in an academic group, where everyone is making every effort to achieve the same goals, it is natural for them to share every opinion with each other in order that some innovation may stem from the spark of the thoughts of different individuals. In a word, it is the similarity that makes the ones alike come together. Without social groups, individuals are something like drift sand, and will easily decay in the society.
Overemphasis, nevertheless, laid on the impact of the social groups may sometimes obcure the significance of individuality. As we know, the contemparory society is a combination of personality and conformity, in which the individuals' interets, opinions and emotions are as important as the ideology of the society. Undoubtedly, society is made up of individuals, thus the diversity of the society is just an illlusion if all the individuals have the same characteristics. Fortunately, individuality and confirmity, however, are not mutually exclusive, it is totally possible to reconcile the two in order to meet the perfection in both individuals and society.
To sum up, social organizations is one but not only one factor in determing the definitions of ourselves. We are living in a world where the diversity is as, sometimes even more, significance than the similarity. The identification of a person lies not in which social groups he/she belongs to, but also in his/her talent that differs from others.(594字)
Society, an organized group of people who live in the fellowship of one another, is made up of individuals, no two of whom exactly alike. Apparently, social groups play a vital role in the individual identification, since the social groups in which an individual lives may be regarded as one of the most important attributions of him or her. Thus I agree with the speaker, however, I argue that besides identification through social groups, there are many other ways to define ourselves.
In the first place, human being are social animals, the identification of whom can exclusively be seen in the social backgrounds. Everyone may play a lot of roles in everyday life, such as the parent of the children, the employee or employer of the enterprise, the consumer of the shop, etc. While playing any parts, an individual can find his/her proper place, which may also bring them self-satisfaction. Here is a story of my friends, who works for an international company as a manager in charge of sales, and meanwhile learns MBA courses in a college. When I'm working in the company, I am a manager to my employees; when studying in the college, I am nothing but a diligent student, and only in this way can I get along well with both my careers and studies." His case shows us that the meaning of individuals may be fulfilled and concretize when we take the person’s various social roles into accounts.
In addition, the social groups an individual lives in also have great impact on him/her. It is self-evident that every social group has its own characteristics and people living in it also have a lot in common. For example, in a religious group, everybody has the same faith, so that one may easily find his/her self-conviction, and in an academic group, where everyone is making every effort to achieve the same goal, it is natural for them to share every opinion with each other in order that some innovation may stem from the spark of the thoughts of different individuals. In a word, it is similarity that makes the ones alike come together. On the contrary, just imagine that if everyone in this society had lived his/her life isolated from each other instead of getting along with others, the world would be nothing but drift sand and the identification of individuals would be nonexistent.
Overemphasis, nevertheless, laid on the impact of the social groups may sometimes obscure the significance of individuality. As we know, the contemporary society is a combination of personality and conformity, in which the individuals' interests, opinions and emotions are as important as the ideology of the society. Undoubtedly, society is made up of individuals, thus the diversity of the society is just an illusion if all the individuals have the same characteristics. Fortunately, individuality and conformity, however, are not mutually exclusive, it is totally possible to reconcile the two in order to meet the perfection in both individuals and society.
To sum up, social organizations are one but not the only one factor in determining the definitions of ourselves. We are living in a world where the diversity is as important as the similarity. Sometimes diversity may have a greater impact. The identification of a person lies not only in which social groups he/she belongs to, but also in his/her talent that differs from others.
