45. Competition for high grades seriously limits the quality of learning at all levels of education.
Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.


开头段:
The charisma of learning through education lies on its capacity of shaping ones' minds and exploring one potentiality.Someone claims that competition for high grades is an obstacle for learning. I partly agree with it. On one hand, in  elementary school and university,it does circumvent ones mind and potentiality, acting as a limitation  On the other hand, a high score is a reward for acquiring knowledge and competition stimulates the quality of learning

主体段:
1、During high school, competition for high grades can motivate students to lay a solid foundation and develop a critical mind,which enhance the quality of learning.高中的学习内容可以锻炼学生获取知识和运用知识的能力,而考试分数则是最好的体现,使得为高分而努力可以提高学习质量,不会淹没才能,从高中学科设置方面来论证,并且说明升学中分数的重要性。


2 However, in elementary education, competing for a high score may impede children's interest and creativity, and in turn, weakens the quality of learning.  小孩子爱思考,思路可能会不同寻常,可能无法适应考试的形式,高分竞争可能会导致学生照搬学习内容或者失去学习兴趣,进而影响其潜力发挥,极大的降低了学习的质量,安迪生的例子

3 In addition, in higher level of education, competition for a high score can prevent students from pursuing  their own goal, which also deviate the goal of education and worsen the quality for education.大学生有不同的目标,创业,社团等,这些都是学习的不同形式,但却无法用分数来衡量,一味的追求高分会影响潜力的发挥

确实 第一段完全没有提到competition 偏题了

再看自己的提纲,确实偏题太多TAT 一开始把关键词放在 all level of education上了。。。又改了改,麻烦老师帮忙看一下~~谢谢老师!

晓晴你好,感觉你的思路还是比较清晰的,但是有几个小问题,仅供参考哈

1"从高中学科设置方面来论证,并且说明升学中分数的重要性"具体指?
2 不知爱迪生的例子会怎么用,如果能说明高分竞争影响爱迪生学习那就比较贴切了
3 大学目标多样=学习的不同形式?或者可以说大学学习途径多(社团、实习、科研之类)。“影响潜力发挥”感觉还是有点空泛,而且这段也没有例子
4 还有点细枝末节补充下:几处语言表达不太贴切,如charisma不是一般形容人的吗?lies in? some claim? circumvent好像也不太妥?

推荐你看下殇沫的issue45全文,思路和你的类似,论点可以借鉴下
