Computer Science is different from Computer Engineering.
Computer Engineering is more related to hardware, such
as computer architecture/VLSI/EDA.

Some school has CE program in EE, such as Princeton's CE
is actually in EE, CMU's ECE, Berkeley's ECE. Some school
has CE program in CS department, such as UW's CSE, Penn State
CSE.

US News does not have a new ranking for CS. Below is the  
ranking in 2002. Which can explain the questions about  
Brown or Wisconsin's ranking (their CS ranks very good,
but either no CE program or CE is not that strong)
