今年签证的形势虽然非常好，几个自费的同学都被拒了。我能签过去也并不是偶然的。
4次签证的经验：自费会计专业这种极不好过的，也许只有当你确实已经做好了不去美国的
准备时，才可能签过。我实际上约了上周五的，遇到亚裔，银行证明过期了，他要“The
latest one”；周六开了新的证明，周一亚裔说不是要的一张证明，而是要存折和所有财
产证明，ft；周二有过去，遇到一个老外，没转到亚裔那里，把所有活期、定期，甚至股
市单子都拿给他了，还出示了户口本（父母的职业证明）。签经如下：
VO: Let me see what you bring here.
递给他，一边看一边问Whose money is it? What are your parents' job?
M: My mother is..., my father is an interpreter of French Do you want to see t
he certificate of their occupation?
VO: Yes, your father's.
递上户口本。
VO: Is he a *** or a contractor?
M(puzzled): What do you mean by "contractor"?
VO: Does he work for a company or work for himself?
M: Oh, work for himself.
他一边看，我一边解释: The US dolars are mostly his salary working abroad, he w
orked in France several times, and he's now in 阿尔及利亚（说的中文）.
VO: Where? Argentina?
M: No, Al..ge..r
VO: Algeria?
M: Yes, maybe.
VO: In Africa?
M: Yes.
VO: What company is he working for?
M: Let me see, an Export and Inport company, do you want to see the contract?
VO: No.
把东西重新装好，扔出来。看I-20表。
VO: You worked for Bain?
M: Yes, I worked there for more than half a year.
VO: What did you do there?
M: I helped to do some customer interviews and collected background informatio
n and data for analysis.
沉默+冷场
VO: Why don't you find a formal job?
M: I got the job offer of Ernst & Yong.
VO: So why don't you work there?
M: Because now I have the opportunity to study in England or America, and I ca
n join the company within one or two years without interview, so we both agree
that it's better and worthwhile for me to take one year of study.
VO: Did you apply for other universities?
M: Yes, Cambridge.
VO: Cambridge? Any others in America?
M: No, I only deferred the offer from last year.
VO: Did you apply any other universities last year?
M: Yes, I applied 5 universities.
VO: You applied Cambridge, why go to Tulane?
M: Because now only a conditional offer, it's still waiting for my TOEFL resul
t to come out.

VO: Give it to me.
M: My last one expired. And Tulane is also a very good university that suits m
e well, so I still cherish the opportunity.
VO:（点头）Ok, I understand.（撕条）Go to window ten.
M: Thank you.
自费确实不好过，在解释找到工作和申请剑桥之前，他好像一直有盖章的倾向。但关于工
作和申请我都没有说谎（甚至考托都只向两所学校寄了成绩），由于出路比较多，美国确
实对我来说已经不是特别重要了。所以给我的感觉，只有当他觉得你已经不是一定要去美
国的时候才会给签证。而且一定要解释的合理。
最近形势不错，但对自费的学子来说好像还是冬天，所以尽量免去废话，把重要的写出来
，希望对自费的同志有所借鉴。感谢所有帮助过我的人，祝所有签字费的同志们好运！
