连我自己都有点不太相信,visa真的拿到了!
大TT撕条时还叮嘱说: "记住,你不能在美国工作.密苏里是一个不错的学校,希望你回国后能做些事情." 我说:"好,我是也这么想的." 说着接过梦寐以求的黄纸条...
本人背景:拿到的是美国密苏立大学哥伦比亚校区 新闻学院 硕士admission无奖 自费
有两年的新闻从业经验,现在还在做记者工作. 我提供的资金为I-20表上的数额(即一年).
感觉大TT判断很快,5分钟就结束了,但在这过程中我判断不出来他是想据我呢,还是想pass呢.....
早上9:30的预约,进去后发现已经有很多人了.交完申请表,工作人员小姐给了我一个黑牌.我心想,不会遇上TT吧.水木上都说TT喜欢拿黑色的牌.
不过,我今天碰巧也穿了一身黑,还穿了一件中国古典式的黑色上衣,哼,who怕who啊!
快到我们黑牌队的时候,我看见TT和亚裔gg都快做完手边的那队面谈了.我心里说,亚裔gg,快啊,快啊! 但还是慢了一点点.TT先做完了.他把黑牌一举,我们这一队人就交到他手里了。
面谈还没开始前，我看见TT翻我们的护照，他看到我有去过朝鲜的签证，做了一个很夸张的吃惊表情。
叫名字，我上前。
Me:Nice to see you. (我心里一直在笑，一点也不害怕。因为我想的是“Nice to see you,TuTou！”)
TT:So you are a journalist?
me:Yeah.
TT:in which media?
me:I am working in xxxxx TV station, Beijing Bureau.
TT:What are you doing usually?
me: I am reporting Beijing Municipal news and foreign embassies in Beijing
TT: Have you ever contact US embassy?
me: yeah, I have been here this March. to report fingerprint biometric visa. with my cameraman. We shot the scene and make news program.
(进入第二个问题:朝鲜签证)
TT; you have been to north korea?
me:yes
tt:for what?
me: to do reporting.(然后给他看我的朝鲜报道，在报纸上。 TT满报纸找我的名字 ：P，我指给他看。)
（第三个问题:资金)
TT：who will pay for your study?
me: my mother and sister.
TT:what kind of job they are doing?
me: mother is xxxx. sister is xxxx
TT:how about their salary?
me:xxx,xxx
TT开始在电脑上敲字
me: would you like to see bank letter?
TT:no(露出看资金证明看太多的厌倦神情，我想他可能看得想吐，不想再看了)
（第四个问题：能否回国）
TT：I see you already have a good job. You don't need study in America.。。(我感觉危险了，赶紧说)
me: I want to report China to the world in a professional way that can been easily accepted by western audience. Currently this field in China didn't do well. I need graduate study in western journalism. and ues my skill to improve the communication between China the world.
TT：After you enter America, You can work in Chinese media there. There're alot of Chinese newspaper and others.(极其不友好的问题，我当时觉得他要据我了，害怕)
me: No!(情急之下，说的特别大声) As a Chinese, I know China well. I can understand the deep meaning of a news event and report well.But I can't in US. It is not a good idea fot me to compete with native English speaker in reporting. I...
TT:ok
又开始敲电脑键盘。我心里没底，不知道说些什么，问他要不要GT成绩，他说不要。我就自己翻翻材料。一会儿，tt转过身，递出来了一个黄纸条，（我都没注意到他撕纸条，真是ft！），
tt一边递一边来对我说：“I will issue you a visa. But remember, you can't work in USA when you arrive Columbia. It is a good University, and I hope you could do something in China media when you are back. ”
我都有点懵了，没有马上接过黄纸条，说“ok,i also think so”
谢谢都忘了说，就跑了，后来才想起来。呵呵
个人总结：我觉得签证是个很个人化的事情，所以准备也要灵活。想好针对自己情况的回答，该怎么解释合理。大家也不要老是泡着看签经，了解基本情况就够了。成败关键处还是自己的申请背景，自己的硬伤怎么回答。千万不要背答案。
我17号才定下签证，才开始了解签证是个什么冬冬。 我的soccer dog gg嘲笑我说：人家都准备一个月的东西，还没见过象你这样几天就去签的。我想，呵呵，就当是密集型学习签证知识嘛。
最后落入旧套一把：感谢妈妈昨天为我祈祷保佑；谢谢dog在我烦躁时包容我，听任我发脾气，还为了早上电话叫我，一晚没睡踏实；
