F-1 1000 pass in Shen Yang
Thank you for GTER's invaluable information to help me successfully get the VISA in Shen Yang. I got the visa on Jan 13, 2004. A ppmm asked me many questions about 10 minutes. She passed quite a number of people whereas the man beside him just passed too few people. However, this ppmm is quite detailed compared to the man. This means you really have to fully prepare all the hot possible questions that she may ask. I have a feeling that if your case is a simple case (e.g., you don't have a complicated background), you are most probably to face the ppmm VO. Nonetheless, if you have published many papers, you are likely to face the man as your VO. He's very polite but he's tougher than the ppmm. So you really have to make your sentences short and clear on the spot!Perhaps my case is a bit different to most of the gter friends here. I had my high school in Singapore. And as a PRC, the chance is slim to get the visa in Singapore, so I have to boost my chance to apply it in my home country.
I am now doing my undergraduate studies in the states majoring Biological Science now. I have not specialized this area yet so I just do it as a general one for the time being.
I took the TOEFL, SAT I and SAT II in Singapore. For the SAT II, I took biology, physics and MATH II. My scores are not superb but nevertheless in the upper quatile range, so I got a full tuition scholarship here as an undergraduate. I will come here now and then if there's any specific questions you'd like me to discuss further . Good luck and don't lose hope.
Best,
Iris perhaps there's a computing issue to make this site more perfect. Whenever there's a word, it shall not be broken into the next line, isn't it? maybe it's a program can be done :) best wishes
