1、In filling the recommendation form，in what capacity是什么意思？
推荐人和你的关系，

2、什么是permanent residents？
Permanent residents就是拥有永久居留权，也就是绿卡。
3、Temporary address & Permament address该怎样填？
The permanent address填父母的地址。The temporary address填现在的住址，但
需注明何时终止。如果你不注明，通常I-20会寄到permanent address。
4、List the faculty you have contacted or expected to contact concerning
your application for admission to XXX Univ.
不用填这一项。
5、Source of Funds？
假如你想申请全奖就不填这一项，或者添$0。假如你申请的是MBA，则需填一些，但
不宜太多，否则会影响奖学金的申请。
6、ETHNICITY 怎么填？
这是让美国申请人填的，中国人可以不填。
7、GRE Mathematical Score/Percentile怎么填？
800/99%, sth. like that.
8、If your acceptance of admission is contingent on receipt of a financi
al aid award, explain why it is necessary.
Tell them your father's incoming is 100$/month.
9、What is the minimum amount of financial aid you need to allow you to

GPA的通常算法为所有课程的加权平均值除以100后乘以4，upper division work G
PA指后两年的GPA。
13、填表时发现填TOEFL成绩时有以下6项：Section 1，Section 2，Section 3，W
s，Total ，Year Taken。 请问这Ws是什么？
Ws为Write sample，即TWE。
14、填表时碰到这样一个问题，Do you claim Wisconsin Residence for Tuition
Purposes? 这什么意思？
是说你是否愿意申请为Wisconsin的居民，好少交Tuition。International studen
t没关系，空着得了。
15、Racial/Ethnic Heritage怎么填？
一般说来都是只对美国公民的，而且一般说明是opional，可填可不填。我知道的人
都不填。
16、在本科的specialization= major吗？
Major: computer science; specialization: programming languages.
17、What is tertiary education equal to education?
Primary-secondary-tertiary, so tertiary means college education(include
graduate experience).
18、What is copy of Alien Registration Card?
有绿卡的才有。
19、What is the number of legal dependents other than self?
你的陪读的人数。
20、What is FAFSA?
FAFSA——The Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is for America
ns, not for you.
If you already hold one, should be this. Otherwise, should be expected.
22、在填表时如何对付financial certification form？据说不填不给I-20，但只
能依靠校方的奖，如何certificate呢？
以下是一所学校对financial certification form所给的处理方法：
Hold on to the form, you cannot mail it to us until you know the followi
ng: That you have been admitted and what kind of financial aid you have been
offered. So don't worry, mail everything else to us and wait for our
response.
